                      | I finally got a squash from my raised bed in the front yard! I couldn't believe it. I'd given up thinking I'd ever get any. I don't see any more, but maybe Mother Nature will surprise me. The seeds I planted were a variety of types, so I don't know what kind it is. It's smooth-skinned and rather pale. I fried some squash I got at the farmer's market for lunch today and it was good. We also had some rain today, not a lot, but it's better than nothing. so maybe I'll get lucky and get a few more. | I only got a few form all my plants this year. Hopefully the new plants in the corn rows will produce some more. I was sure disappointed in them. Enjoy yours!

                      | I am starting to be overrun with zucchini, but have yet to harvest a crook neck squash. I see some out there that are close though!
