It's in the 90's today and tomorrow, but I still cannot work or plant in the gardens. The ground squishes as I walk. It's that bad. I think we've been getting rain almost daily since late April.

I think mother nature has things a bit mixed up this year. I've never seen so much rain this time of year. I'll add a prayer for rain to visit West Texas.

We have had alot of rain as well. there has been flooding in neighboring towns. We live up high enough and the road crew keeps up on the ditches beside our road so it has not washed out at all this time.

I have only planted the snow peas and that several weeks ago. the weather report said this has been the wettest spring in recorded history. thursday night Montpelier, the capital and Barre the next city east received 4 inches of rain in 4 hours. both have a river that runs through them that overflowed its banks.

With all this rain the ground water resrvoirs should be full so our spring should be all set for the summer months.

I'm actually getting some mowing, weeding, and trimming done. It's hot, but I still need to cover more dirt over the potatoes that are up.

Sorry to hear you still cant get outside and work Its frustrating I know. We have been pretty lucky here on Long Island lately-the weather for the most part has been cooperating- now if I can just spread myself thin enough to do all of the project I want!
Enjoy your Memorial Day!
Smiles,
