Posted - Jul 09 2006 : 8:02:24 PM Elizabeth, your hollyhocks look really nice! The beetles ate mine too, but they still look alright, mine are about a week behind yours.

Posted - Jul 09 2006 : 7:11:39 PM Oh, they're lovely! Thanks for sharing! We just planted a new boulevard garden this weekend and now I'm in love with all things that grow tall or climb. I want hollyhocks now!

Posted - Jul 09 2006 : 5:33:29 PM Beautiful! MIne turned out to be gorgeous this year as well...I have white, burgandy, and pink. Huge, 6 inch blossoms!!! My mother tells me how when she was growing up they always planted Hollyhocks around the outhouse to hide it and make it smell good. Guess now I need an outhouse!

I have some old hollyhock seeds that a neighbor gave me - about two years ago. Do you think they would take if I plant them?
