Posted - Mar 02 2010 : 7:18:59 PM Thanks-this is the first year I plan on trying some seeds I didn't get planted for the last two years. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for germination!

Posted - Feb 22 2010 : 12:01:12 PM I saw the "life-span of a seed" section in one of my new heirloom seed catalogs. I had LOTS of old seed that I went through and it pained me so to throw it out, but, I HAD to do it. If they're not going to grow, I can't waste my time, OR my potting soil, trying to make the impossible happen. Thanks for sharing this VERY VALUABLE info Annika! We "hit-or-miss" gardners thank you. ~~~ Tracy

Posted - Feb 19 2010 : 08:57:22 AM Bump! I think some of us, me included, will need this for our seed saving and for older packets of seeds lying around so that we don't waste a bunch of time on what isn't going to sprout! =)

Posted - Jan 22 2010 : 7:43:26 PM thanks annika,i will even use this list to help me be sure i order all the things i plan to plant. i seem to always forget something on my mental list. this list is very complete. territorial seed here in the valley has a how to grow seed viability and best germination etc. in their catalog. plus no gmo snd organic choices.thanks for the list. i am going to go thru my seed with it tomorrow. i heard there could be a seed shortage this year. happy days sherrye sounds like some of you all have more than enough seed. lol |
