Bump! I think some of us, me included, will need this for our seed saving and for older packets of seeds lying around so that we don't waste a bunch of time on what isn't going to sprout! =)

I saw the "life-span of a seed" section in one of my new heirloom seed catalogs. I had LOTS of old seed that I went through and it pained me so to throw it out, but, I HAD to do it. If they're not going to grow, I can't waste my time, OR my potting soil, trying to make the impossible happen. Thanks for sharing this VERY VALUABLE info Annika! We "hit-or-miss" gardners thank you. ~~~ Tracy

Thanks-this is the first year I plan on trying some seeds I didn't get planted for the last two years. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for germination!
