Well my garden was slow going, but my tomatoes are finally going hog wild....
in the mean time my neighbor across the road has a Victory Garden about 1/4 of an acre in size....and it's time to harvest the cucs so tomorrow we will be canning pickles.....
I suspect in just a few weeks we'll be putting up tomatoes for sauce & salsa....wahooooo!
But no beets please! I still have about 18 jars left from last year...lol! oh and as for zucchini & squash...yea I finally have some!

Grace,
Our garden was slow going also. Tomatoes have been going crazy with all of the rain we have had, now harvesting quite alot. Green beans were planted late, by choice, and now they too are ready for harvest and canning. Just picked up a couple of boxes of wonderful peaches, and guess what, they too will be ready to can in a day or two. So thankful for this bounty.
Sooooo, between baking sourdough bread and harvesting greens for the Farmers Market, somewhere in there comes the canning. Busy Busy but so happy.
