Posted - Jan 13 2009 : 07:01:04 AM I started growing lettuce and broccoli in my south facing bay window. I intend to use them in salads as micro greens. Those of you with greenhouses are so lucky.

Posted - Jan 08 2009 : 4:02:59 PM I am trying to garden in my greenhouse...an 8'x12" partially bermed. I am struggling with aphids...had to throw out my little cabbages! Anyone have suggestions on what to do for aphids and green mold growing on the dirt...I very new at this. Lettuce and spinach are up but are not thriving. Onions look pretty good. Do have 4 volunteer tomatoes from the dirt from the compost pile :) Aphids are liking them also! Suggestions?
May the good Lord bless and keep you. |

Posted - Dec 31 2008 : 11:29:43 AM My greenhouse roof blew off, along with the shingles off the house. Got our new roof on the house this a.m. Going to shop for greenhouse materials the day after tomorrow. I am itching to get something planted. Only been out of tomatoes for a month. I have lots of canned and frozen stuff from last years garden but I need to get my hands in some dirt. |
