Posted - Oct 01 2005 : 08:16:13 AM I just had to show y'all pics of these pumpkins so I made a small blog just to do it!! I also threw in a few of my favorite cows, in a really pretty pic of our lower field. When I see this kind of picture I feel so blessed to be able to live here.

Posted - Oct 01 2005 : 2:12:07 PM Wow! They look great! What kind of hubbard did you grow? I grew Baby Blues. I've never grown the dark green you have. You must have excellent soil!
Julia, you can trellis pumpkins. I had Luminas growing up a tree last year. When the leaves starting falling off it looked quite comical. Luminas are white.

Posted - Oct 01 2005 : 11:00:28 AM Arlene -- thanks for sharing the pics. How fun!! I love the pic of your pasture with the cows. You must have used lots of that manure on the pumpkins & squash!
I'm still hot...it just comes in flashes. |

Posted - Oct 01 2005 : 09:19:31 AM How fun! My daughter just said she wants a cow so that she can ride it.. Living in town however, think it would be frowned upon. I would like to raise pumpkins sometime. Maybe I should start with the little ones as I don't have much room. Could you trellis the small ones?
