Hello to all people out there. I was wondering if anyone knows howto kill off MINT? I know what your thinking "Kill the MInt?" but really, I have had it for over 7 years now and yes I was the one who planted it and now I am sorry that I did. The thing is is taking over and killing out my rose bush. If anyone has any ideas on what to do with it, please send them my way. I did one year make mint jelly... well thanks for reading and hope to hear from you all soon... ![](icons/icon_smile_wink.gif) Sincerely,
hopeful on getting rid of the mint!![](icons/icon_smile.gif)

Posted - May 04 2007 : 9:40:24 PM You can keep clipping it down to soil level every time you see a shoot and it will eventually use up all of its energy trying to grow. If you try pulling it up- make sure you get every bit of root because disturbing the roots can actually make it spread faster. Otherwise you can dig up the whole section of garden and sift out the mint from the soil. Good Luck!
