I can hardly believe I am writing this to welcome in December already! It is a busy month for sure. I am going to enjoy this evening and Friday evening at home. The rest of the nights have things going on. I am almost finished with my gifts and cards.
I am convinced that slowing down is better because the month goes way to fast with all the activities that go on.

I hope this month brings each of you blessings of good health and may you find the true joy of this season. I am grateful for each of the members of our henhouse. Only you can make our coop a special place to be by engaging and posting topics you enjoy!

Fun things to do this month! My grandchildren did a beautiful job decorating the tree for us.

We got our tree up early this year because the tree lot was having a 25% discount on tree prices. Warren helped me get it all here and up and I did the decorating part this afternoon. I always love to smell the pine odor and see the tree full of so many memory ornaments. I hope to find plenty of time to just enjoy this month , the cooler weather that finally arrived here, and the vibe of jolly and joy that comes with this season.

Happy December! :) I’m planning to take some time each day to just be. That’s my plan anyway. I still have some projects to do. We will get our tree on the 10th and decorate it soon after. :)

This will definitely be a busy December for us. The only decorating I am doing for have a few days to is with my "softies" - Christmas quilts, tablecloths, table runners, wall hangings, pillows, and homemade ornaments on a little tree. Since we will be gone for about 2 weeks of December, I don't want to have to put up too much stuff after Christmas.

This coming Saturday we are driving to Galveston to spend one night in a motel before leaving on our 7-day cruise to Roatan, Honduras; Cozumel; and Costa Maya on Sunday,Ed's birthday. When the ship returns, we will drive home and have a few days to finish our Christmas shopping - some possibly on Amazon.

Then, a few days after Christmas we fly to Buenos Aires and spend a few nights there and then board our ship to go around the tip of South America for 17 days to Santiago, Chile, where we will stay for 2 nights before flying home.

Quite a busy December.

Linda your trips sounds wonderful! Enjoy Enjoy!
I was planning to put our tree up today but DH is plowing snow instead. It's a little early for me to start and I still have a Fall banner up. LOL With about 5" on the ground so far I guess it's fitting to start decorating for Christmas.
Happy December to all!

Everyone who is traveling, have a great time and I hope the weather everywhere is cooperative for you. December is always such a frantic month and this first week flew by in the blink of an eye for me too.

Once again I'll be flying to Fort Worth to drive home with DH, who has been hunting there with his family. He drives down just before Halloween every year. I missed the trip last year.

Woke up to 24 this morning. It's was 40 yesterday so most of our snow is gone. A few little piles around where people shoveled their driveways. Whatever the temps where you are enjoy your day! Spread a bit of kindness along the way.

We are in for some chilly days ahead this weekend.

Can do nothing about it so.. here's a photo of our girl Annie on herbirthday yesterday. She turned 15 and adolescence is definitely going to be a challenge for her parents. Lol. She's a sweet girl who loves to read and she got enough books to keep her busy for a bit. My surprise comes realizing that time really did go by fast and I have grandkids and adult grandkids to boot.

I'm wishing you all a beautiful joy filled day! I have to go out but once I get back I'm going to cozy up with a cup of something hot and my letter writing supplies! Time to catch up with my penpals.

I love hot chocolate! And the only way you could get it on the ship we just got off of was to buy it at the fancy coffee spot. Next cruise on MSC we will bring our own hot chocolate packets. LOL!
