Merry Christmas this whole week I'm expecting 3 more Amazon packages. Lots of preparations to start, finish, and on and on.

I have 3 more Amazon packages that are coming this week - 2 for Christmas and 1 for my cruise next week. I have to take one Amazon item to the Ups STORE TO RETURN IT, buy last minute food for dinner on Christmas (we are having spachetti - LOL - non-traditional), make a cake, and on Christmas Eve Day we are gong to a local shopping mall with Ed's son and our youngest grandson to the large train display (Dawson loves trains), then going out for Chinese food, and opening presents with them on Christmas Eve. WHEW!

I hope everyone's Christmas plans are moving right along.

Happy holidays to everyone! We got home late last night after an eleven hour drive from Las Vegas. I didn't drop a single nickle in a slot machine but we did go to Meow Wolf. It was fun but IMHO not as good as the one in Santa Fe. This is our first home for Christmas in a long time so After my Dr. appointment tomorrow I'm shopping for a ham and other goodies to make Christmas dinner. I hope I remember how :-). Our grandson took care of the cats and plants and started the remodel of the bathroom while we were gone. We are so lucky to have him, he even took care of the neighborhood flooding. I wish you all a bright and merry Christmas.

Sorry to hear about your flooding and glad your grandson could be there to help.

You can do it - cooking a ham is like riding a bike - you don't forget how. LOL!

The flooding has happened before. Leaves fall from trees and we get a heavy rainfall and the street and yards fill up with water. DH and grandson seem to be the only ones who think to put on boots and clean the leaves out of the storm drains. So much easier than replacing carpets and stuff.

Ham -- I sure remember how to eat it too :-)

We have the same problem if JT doesn't clean the leaves out of the gutters on a regular basis. He has to do it at least twice in the fall. We also added a section of gutter to the small lower section of roof which has helped. Always happened with the hard, fast rain that overflows the gutters. The joys of homeownership.

LOL! I love ham, too, Judith. Great for cold ham leftover snacking and ham sandwiches.

My sister isn't far from you, Judith, and she said they have had flooding and 50 MPH winds fromm the storms. They live on several acres with a lot of trees, and she also said that she was hoping they haven't lost any trees from the winds.

Stay safe!

We had lasagna and salad for our dinner today. My son and his sons Richard and Phillip came over and after dinner we played Ladder Toss and Cornhole outside. It was very nice, in the 80s and a little windy, but we had a lot of fun.
