Our weather here is all over the place this coming couple of weeks; 80s to 100s. We actually had some rain driving in the mountains yesterday on our way to meetup for lunch with my daughter and her husband. They were on motorcycles and ran into some hail -- she said she got a free microdermabrasion. Fortunately they were only a half hour from home. We had a lovely visit and enjoyed our 2 hour drive home. The foliage hasn't started to color up there so I don't think it's going to be fall anytime soon.

We came home from our trip to Alaska on this past Friday along with Covid!! We got and email message from our tour guide that several people had contacted her that they had come down with Covid as well. It seems to be on the upswing again nationally with the latest mutation. Fortunately, I only had a bad head cold and lots of fatigue while Warren only had a brief sort throat for 3 days and now is feeling normal. So we are both on the mend. Alaska was stunningly beautiful in every direction one looked! Plus, the weather was really nice except one day of rain showers. it was such a treat to have days in the low 60s and nights in the mid 50s!! We sure won't see anything like that until maybe the end of November.

Alaska is truly the last Frontier and we are so glad we had the opportunity to go and visit there!

Meanwhile, we have launched the upcoming September Annual Apple Festival @ MJF over at the main chatroom. I am offering a giveaway and hosting an apple swap if you are interested in joining along. Despite this long hot Summer, September is coming this weekend and I am so happy to see it finally get here!!

I'm so happy you had a nice vacation before the covid hit. It does seem to be getting bad again; a friend has it for the fourth time.
Hard to believe it's going to be September already. I still feel like I'm in the middle of July.

Winnie -
Were you on a cruise or a land tour? What company do you take your tours through?

Ed and I both tested positive for COVID the last week we were in Vietnam - but did not have severe symptoms and still participated in all activities with a mask on and sitting in the back seat of the bus away from the other 15 people.

Good morning! Looking forward to less warm temperatures next week. It won't be cool be won't be as hot as this week so that's a win!

Love that picture but I don't think I'd let the chickens out with that laundry in the basket there.
We have had the cooler weather, 90s, this week but it is supposed to be back to 100 again next week.

I used to enjoy having the hens around when I was hanging out laundry. They never bothered the basket.
