I am in the let the kitchen water run group - maybe cause it's a bigger sink - maybe because it seems like I multi-task more in the kitchen.

That is weird! I guess maybe there are more "supervisors" in the kitchen to intervene if there is an overflow?

The greywater kitchen sink set up --

Father in law put a pool valve with a handle into the countertop deck to give the option to send water to the sewer or send it out to the yard through a purple pipe. The urns are a hold over from when I thought we needed a filtration basin of mulch to catch grease and garbage disposal debris, but it turned out that was unnecessary when the bananas took hold. I found dishwasher detergent and dish soap that is eco-friendly and hardly ever set it to go to the sewer any more. This would need a longer think in an area where the soil doesn't drain as readily or has hard freezes in the winter, but the bananas are pretty happy in an area that would otherwise be desert. Lots of good ideas in a book called Create an Oasis with Greywater (Art Ludwig). I've bought that book a couple times because I loan it out so much!

Good morning all, we are back in NC for Shirley’s gallbladder surgery today. We would really appreciate prayers that all goes well. This is Bentley’s mom who is 90 years old and has dementia. The doctor has been putting off surgery since last August, because of her age, but today’s the day. Thank you!

PS: it’s very strange, but the doctor says that because of her dementia, the nerves do not send pain signals to her brain. So she has not been suffering since August, which is a blessing in itself.

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

I hope she doesn't have to have general anesthesia Wanda. Local is better for those with dementia as general has been shown to progress the dementia. Prayers all goes well with the surgery. We are packing to head back to PA tomorrow for mom's viewing tomorrow night and funeral on Thursday.

Thank you all, the surgery was a complete success, but she is now in ICU because she was not able to breathe on her own yet.Today we visited and found she is now stabilized with her breathing but now monitoring her BP. Things are looking up!

Thinking of you too Denise and your families as you travel and say goodbye.

Well today Shirley is back home and doing well, just needs to build her strength back up. PT and OT nurses will be visiting to help with that weekly. So very thankful for all of your love and support, thank you all!!!

I think her name should be Sassy, , as she looks like she could be. So sweet.
