I am sure most of you do not know this but Tom and I will celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary on August 24th.
We had decided to stay in Oregon and celebrate our anniversary on Highway 101 traveling up the coast. Seeing things we have not seen and things we saw in 2007 again. The symbol for 50 years is Gold and Tom wanted to get me gold jewelry but I said no thank you. He ask what I wanted for our Anniversary and I said my hearts desire is to meet Farmgirls in Oregon and maybe Washington or wherever if I could. His exact words were, “You want a MaryJane Farmgirl Meet and Greet for our Anniversary “ and I said Absolutely! Tom said sounds like fun let’s do it! And that is why I love this man.
He has made me so happy.
So, I started thinking and planning. I talked to 3 girls in Oregon and 3 in Washington and ask them if they would like to meet Tom and I in Sisters, Oregon on Aug. 25th and 26th as well as other Farmgirls. We have gotten some positive responses. So far we have 4 coming, plus myself 3 Wildflowers and 2 who are not Wildflowers.
And Wildflowers I wanted to share this Meet and Greet with all of you. If any of you think you may be able to join us please send me a personal email.
If you have questions let me know.
I am trying to have some surprises for all our Farmgirls who are coming so that’s why the secrecy:-)
Sisters, Oregon is a beautiful little town to have a Farmgirl meet and greet, with 3 Sisters Mountain overlooking town. Shopping, Restaurants and so much more. Oh the fun we will
have and the Memories we will make.
More later I’m sure as we still have a lot of time until August.
My Heart is so happy and overflowing with jexcitement at meeting Farmgirl Sisters, all of us friends just waiting to meet one day.

| Debbie this sounds so exciting and fun! I asked Bentley if he would like to do something wild and crazy for our Anniversary this year. Ours is August 23rd, how about that! So far he hasn’t said no yet, sooo I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I will keep you posted!! |

| That sounds so wonderful! Like Heather said, please take lots of pictures for us faraway Wildflowers! It sounds like it will be a lovely time and a wonderful way to celebrate such a magnificent milestone. |

Wow, that was quick Laura, enjoy reading it.
“Staying in Sisters is worth it. Love this town. Enjoy going to Open Range for metal art and the wood furniture shop. If you go take the road south of town past the Three Creeks area to end of paved road and see the Three Sisters up close.” This is what someone said who had been there. I have been wanting to go to Sisters since we moved here 4 years ago. I can not wait to see Three Sisters Mountain, I have not seen Mountains since I left Colorado.
This will be a fun meet and greet! I am so excited and can not wait to meet so many Farmgirls, only 118 days Woo, Hoo!

I hope you have lots of farmgirls to meet and greet Debbie. These days 50 is an accomplishment and shows love and commitment.
We are in PA right now celebrating our anniversary. We decided to take the weekend before and we have had such a great time. JT bought something that I will share a photo as soon as I can. He always like to do that to commemorate the anniversary year. We have so many items from this area. One we just didn't have room for when we moved and I had to part with and it broke my heart because he had it made special. My Hoosier cabinet. But it wasn't an anniversary gift just a piece I loved and he wanted to get for me. I wish I had kept it and stored it downstairs until we move to our little place when we retire. |

Oh have lots of fun Denise, I love PA. But I really enjoy the Amish Communties. Hoosier Cabinets are Amazing, I had to sell mine too when we moved;-( Did you see Dori’s thread in Rural Farmgirl and the beautiful one she got, even with the original papers etc. an amazing piece. I enjoyed her article.
I hope the weather was pretty for you. |

| Yes Debbie I did see Dori's blog. Mine was just so special due to him having it made. It had the flour bin with the sifter and the sugar dispenser as well. I hope to find a similar one again someday. Sometimes we make decisions we regret and that was one of mine. But the really special thing is spending time together away from his job and the everyday. Though I love our everydays. |
