My Mom taught me to sew too, embroidery when I was about 7 and the machine some years later. I'm very thankful now but at the time I didn't much like it -- I was too much of a tomboy and would rather have been outside doing exciting things.

My mother taught me to sew, knit, crochet, do embroidery and needlepoint. I sewed Barbie doll clothes on her Featherweight when I was in grade school. I can still remember her calling out (yelling?) from the kitchen - "Slow down, you are going too fast" when I was using the sewing machine. LOL! I still sew fast sometimes.

Happy Saturday to you too, Denise. And a Happy weekend to all the Henhouse farm sisters as well. It is hard to believe that June is almost gone again. It feels like the first 6 months this year has flown by. Anyone else feel that way?
