Sometime I'd love to go to England and stay in a countryside cottage for a week or two - in a small village and lots of flowers. |

It's quite a chilly morning . We had our first heavy frost Friday night. It was quite pretty but warmed up nicely. I was able to get some windows washed yesterday. I hope to get the carpets cleaned this week sometime. It is hard to believe we will soon hit the halfway mark through November. I have 3 birthdays the beginning of December to prepare for and I'm trying to work on Christmas as well.

Supposed to be cooler here - the birds are eating a lot more with the cooler weather, so we keep the feeders filled. I need to put a few more out. |

Seem we already have a lot on the calendar from now to Christmas. Starting to pull back on commitments so we don't get overwhelmed. Hoping to be ready for our 3 December birthdays soon so I can get ready for Christmas too. |

Fall birthdays and other events are popular here, too! Twin grandson's birthdays in November, grandson's birthday in December, granddaughter's birthday in December, and Anniversary in December. Plus we leave for our overseas trip in January. Sending for visas for our trip now. |

Yesterday, Ed and I had our new Covid booster shot. Luckily, I didn’t get the high fever that I’ve gotten with the last five shots, at least not yet. I did start taking an Ibuprofen before the ahot - maybe that helped.
Then, last night, we met my son and family at Genghis Grill and had a birthday celebration for my twin grandsons, Richard and Phillip. They turned 17 yesterday. Tuesday I finished the binding on quilts that I made for them; they had picked out the panels about 2 to 3 to 4 years ago, and I finally got them bordered, long-armed, and bound. We had a great dinner, and it was a fun night. They have grown up fast!
Also, early this morning - our time - our newest grandson and his parents arrived in London. They will be staying overnight and then flying back into Dallas where we will pick them up tomorrow afternoon. From what we’ve been told, Dawson did great the entire trip, for a nine-month-old; he’s already got two countries on his passport.

The house on the corner put their Christmas decorations out the day after Halloween and they keep adding to it every year. Many have their lights up and we have seen a couple of trees up in windows |

I think they liked them. With 17 YOs it is hard to tell. I also gave them $20 each so they liked that. |

Well, my fever finally arrived - 22 hours after we got the shots. Ed and I both run a normal body temperature of around 97.5 (+/- .1 or .2) degrees. Well, right now my temp is 99.5 so it is 2 degrees high, which from a normal 98.6 temp isn't that high, but I am in bed under lots of quilts, with flannel nightgown and feel hot but can't stop shaking. I took another Ibuprophen, so I hope that helps. I don't know what Moderna or Phizer has against me; I only had 1 Phizer out of the 6 shots I've had. |

Linda that sounds horrible! Take care and drink lots of fluids! I love your quilts You take care
This morning I woke up to a beautiful sky, a huge full rainbow bow I could see right out of my window. As long as I have lived in this house I have never seen a full rainbow in that place. They are usually further North.

Thank you Linda!' Oh it really was! I just wish my IPad did better with taking pictures! I was very lucky to look out the window at that moment.

Happy November every one! Lots to be grateful here.
Well, it's been a heck of a few weeks with mom being in the hospital, and my brother being out of town on a business trip, a lot fell on my shoulders. Thankfully she is better and presently in a convalescent home gaining her strength. This further reminds me of gratitude ... being grateful for what I have in my life. My parent are getting up there in age. Aging is not for sissies!
Linda, lovely quilts. Sure to be treasured for years to come.
Back in October, Pumpkin and I went the Rhinebeck for the NY Sheep and Wool festival. I love attending these types of festivals. Sheeps are so cute! Didn't buy any yarn. I have way too much of a stash of yarn for future projects.
Aside from that, I don't have much to report. I've been so tied up with school, work and mom. I thought I would take a small break from school work to pop in and catch up.
Take care,
