Me too Winnie! Some people have elaborate visions of a fancy dream house. I just want a small farmhouse with a couple acres and away from the city. Like this picture.

Well, today we got a phone call and the tour company told us they have cancelled our revised November trip because too many people have already decided not to go. They gave us several options and have until Nov 7 to decide. A lot to think about.

I'm sure you'll get it worked out then Linda. Ever do a tour of the U.S.? There are so many places I'd like to visit here.

I think we are going to try for Vietnam, Australia/New Zealand, or another neat place. Someplace far away from the Middle East. And probably leave in December or early January.

How many hours to get there flying.
How is the weather down there.

When I went quite a few years ago we flew from Dallas to San Francisco and then to Australia. I think the sfo to Australia was over 10 hours. You have a short flight from Australia to New Zealand, because there is water between them. LOL! Their seasons are opposite of ours - Nov-to-Feb is summer. LOL

That’s a long time on an airplane. Not for me,
Sounds like a beautiful place.

Reminds me that life moves along quickly. Things are always changing. We should enjoy the beauty in each day, in each season of life, because it will not last.

“Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then Leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."

~'Nothing Gold Can Stay,' by Robert Frost

And here we are at the last weekend of October already. Time certainly does seem to speed by quickly.

We are headed back to the church this morning to help finish a project that was started yesterday . I was there from noon to 8:30 last night helping to construct books being put together to send to those who are in need of them. They are in Spanish and sent to Spanish speaking countries through missionaries. We will start at 9 and end whenever it is finished. We 17,000 yesterday. We do about 1000 every half hour and we have 8000 left to do. We did 20,000 last year and finished early so they up it to 25,000 this year.
It is much cooler today so hopefully they won't need to turn the air on today. Felt so cold in there yesterday.

Sorry about that.
Denise that’s really a nice project!

And some good news - We have changed our trip. We will be going to Vietnam for 27 days starting January 22. Everyone I've talked to who has been there say this is a wonderful trip. Our tour agency was very nice about our cancelled Suez Canal/Israel, Jordan, Eqypt. Cypress and Istanbul trip.

LInda, glad to hear that you now have the chance to redo your trip to a place that is safe to go and enjoy. It will have a lot of history and culture differences to enjoy.

Denise, I really enjoyed the poem by Robert Frost. It is so true about Fall and it does remind us that this beloved season is a transition period and will not last long.It is easy to forget that because we can decorate our homes for Fall n late Summer because we can buy faux leaves and pumpkins etc. This poem brings us back to the reality of the seasons and even though we wish fall would last longer, it will move on to Winter.

Enjoy this last day of October. It went by way too fast in my opinion.
Now almost all our leaves are down and the ground is covered with wet leaves. Waiting for a sunny, windless day to get them cleaned up. Have fun with your trick or treaters if you get them.
