UPDATE:
Karen asked that I share with you all that her procedure went well. The Dr was able to get good pictures of the vessels and she expects to hear back from him tomorrow after he consulting with other neurosurgeons. At this time, he is recommending one of two options; Radiation via gamma knife or surgery. She will make further decisions after speaking with the Dr.
She says THANK YOU for all the prayers! |

| I’m sorry that you have to wait so long on your doctor, Karen…..the waiting is hard!!! He will be able to give you the best recommendation and hopefully you will feel confident in what he thinks is best for you. |

Here is the lastest update from Karen:
Hi. Here is an update. We met with the dr yesterday. We found out that the AVM is on the larger side. So on Aug 10 I will be having a procedure that will glue shut the vessels going into the the AVM. Then on the 11th I will be having surgery to have it removed. I’ll be in the hospital for 3-5 days depending on how things go. Phew. It’s a lot…and it’s scary but I know it’s the right thing to do.
I have felt a lot of peace through these past days and I know with all my heart that it’s because of my Farmgirl sister’s prayers.
Please continue to pray for our Wildflower and shower her with all the love you have to give.

Wildflowers I wanted to up date you on our Beautiful Wildflower Karen.
Her surgeries have been postponed and rescheduled to the 17th and 18th of August. But, I do not know why. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as it is must difficult for her to have to wait longer. But she is hanging in there and is strong! She is crafting to help keep herself busy.
Karen we love you and send you healthy thoughts and prayers. |
