May 1 is tomorrow already!! I can't believe it!
We have 2 lovely ladies with birthdays in May:
Hannah is on the 21st
Dianna is on the 27th
We also have several anniversaries this month...May was a popular month to get married!
Heather is on the 4th Heather, do you happen to be a Star Wars fan? May the 4th??? :)
Denise is on the 8th
Dianna is on the 28th
April is on the 31st
Happy birthday to all of you and happiest of anniversaries, as well!
If you'd like, you could share how many years that you have been married and any advice on having a long and happy marriage?! |

Happy Birthday and Anniversary everyone!
Dianna - if you don't mind me asking how did it come to be that your anniversary is the day after your birthday?
I never got into Star Wars. Is May 4th from the movie or is that when a new one is starting?
This year is our 21st anniversary. I'm not sure I have any advice to give as I can't figure out how it's been 21 years already!!! I kind of feel like the quote Debbie posted about the lady being young at heart and not understanding how her body got so old LOL! I don't feel old enough to be married over 20 years already :) |

Lol, Heather, my birthday wish was to get married after my bd, I knew how hard it was for men to remember their anniversaries!! :D
Debbie, our male members, my son, sil, even hubs all celebrate the 4th!! Silly I know but then I kinda like Cinco de mayo myself! So we have our little parties!! May is a busy celebration month for us!!

We have a May the 4th Star Wars marathon here. Myself and my kids have always been into it. My husband and I saw it when it came out the first time.
We will be married 41 years on the 8th. Seems like yesterday. We were pretty young kids when we got married.
I think one thing we have learned over the years is to put on the rose colored glasses after you get married. It is better to see the flaws and faults before you marry and overlook those small things after. Don't go to bed mad because you won't get any sleep and then you'll not only still be mad the next day but you'll be tired and that will make it worse. Don't let the small things get blown out of proportion, keep a clear perspective. . |

I had no idea May 4th was such a big star wars thing LOL! My family and my husbands family are full of June weddings so we were not doing that and when we were planning the wedding there was a possibility we would be moving for me to go to graduate school - so we chose May. No star wars thinking involved LOL! |

Back when JT and I married Star Wars had not been out for very long. It did not have anything to do with our wedding. Our second born daughter and her husband who were married in 2009, had one of the songs played for their processional after they were announced husband and wife. Geekiness runs strong in our family. Lol. |

| Nothing fancy, but just perfect for us - we only did the necessary chores then spent the day watching movies (2 of them were Christmas LOL). We talked about what to do, but neither of us felt like going out and doing anything. We've been so busy and still have so much to do. I made homemade wraps for steak fajitas and some chocolate covered strawberries :) It was a great day!!! |

We spent the morning of our anniversary at my cousins. She got up and fixed a special breakfast for all 4 of us. Then we cleaned everything up in the kitchen and headed out for PA. We didn't stop for lunch because we had a late breakfast. For us it was late. When we arrived we checked in our hotel and went for a nice dinner for 2. Went back to the hotel and realized we had left somethings at my cousins. Asked her to ship them to me. Being here in PA we are halfway home so too far to go back.
Maybe when I get home I can share some pictures. We did enjoy the day together even though most of it was riding. |

| We always enjoy traveling because we have a many discussions we just don't seem to have when are home. We make plans etc. I am a quality time person and I love just being together. |
