Happy February! Hard to believe January is over already. Valentines is one of my favorite holidays! Anything that promotes love has got to be good right? Hope you all have a wonderful month filled with what you love!

February is a Love-ly month but often Texas gets their worst and coldest weather over one of the president's weekends. LOL! |

At least once it's over then it's over Linda! Something to be glad of I guess. I don't know when Ohio gets over winter. Last year we didn't seem to have one and this year can't make up it's mind whether to be winter or Spring.

I have some friends here that are moving to Ohio in March. Sounds cold to me!

Went to the dentist and had the worst of the work done. Boy oh boy are my gums and jaw sore. But I have one more appt next month to get the permanent part done and then I am finished. I wouldn't have needed this except the tooth broke. Ah well at least we saved the tooth. |

Denise, I don't envy you having to go through big dental work. It surely does leave your jaw and gums sore. Glad that the hardest is behind you and you managed to save the tooth.
Denise, I love that second sign about February!! The is exactly how it is down here in Florida during the month!! LOL!!!
We are now in the big burst of Spring down here in Florida. This past week has been in the low 80s and all of the flowering trees and some flowering bushes are opening up. We had a cold front pass by this afternoon so the weekend will be chilly day and night. The next week, it is back up to the low 80s again. On Weather.com, they have forecast that Florida will have a much warmer than average month of February. We shall see what unfolds for us. It has been normal for many years now that Valentine's Day has the city bursting out in bloom.

Love the sign Denise! So true. Today is so cold and tomorrow is supposed to be in the 40's. DH said we burned 3 days worth of wood last night. |

Same for here in Texas. Last week school started Monday, released early, and then was closed the rest of the week due to an ice storm. All the roads were ice for 3 days. Parents are at their wits ends with the kids underfoot and bored for the entire week. Most districts around Dallas used ALL of their snow days that were built in to the schedule. LOL! |

The first storm we had the kids were on a two hour delay and we got 6 inches of snow. The second one they canceled school and we only ended up with 2 inches. You can never tell how it will turn out really.
Yesterday it was 20 degrees for a high but today 50 with a wind chill of 35. |

It can't make up it's mind whether to be Spring or winter here yesterday was close to 70, today 40 and by Thursday we are back in the mid 60s again.
I have an appt to see the chiropractor today again. It does seem to be helping and I don't limp as much. Doing my exercises and also starting on some low impact exercises to help. My own fault but at least it is helping to get me back to where I need to be to be moving and active. |

How did you all celebrate Valentine's Day at home growing up? I came from a big family so our special treat was Mom made each of us a big sugar cookie Valentine that she decorated with flowers and our name on it. We got to enjoy them as dessert after we finish dinner and it was such a treat!! Mom loved to make cookies and she was very good and making them all fixed up with icing decorations on them. Sometimes, they looked too pretty to eat. But we never succumbed to " too pretty to eat" LOL!! |

I really only remember exchanging valentines with my school chums. Mom usually made cookies with red sugar on top. They were so good. |

We usually decorated show boxs to collect our valentines in at school. That was fun! |

We did too Linda! Annie came home with a white carnation that a girl gave out for valentine's. She is in 7th grade and loved that. |

My daffodils are popping up in all the flower beds. Hoping to change some things around a bit in one of the beds. Also want have some fencing put up in the backyard. Hoping to do a garden this year. Will see how it all goes. Things don't usually go according to plan here. Lol |

Ed just said this morning that our daffodils are blooming, too. Supposed to be 70s today before another cold front later this week. |
