Let’s do something easy and fun, let’s paint rocks! Doesn’t it sound like fun?
Darlene and Jami thought it would be fun for our first craft to make would be painted rocks. I think they are right. You can have any size rock and paint anything you want on your rock.
You could write words, paint a flower or a smiling face anything you want.
I think I will like this craft as I do not have to have any talent and I can play for with paint!
Here are some cute samples.   
Aren’t these cute. In our town of Coos Bay and other towns in Oregon there are rock clubs.
People paint the rocks and hide them all over town and folks find them. We were shopping downtown when we first moved here and I found one. I thought wow how cute and it put a smile on my face. I turn it over and there were initials and a name. I looked it up and that’s when I found out that folks do it for fun and just to make someone smile! Heck they hide rocks at our local goodwill and you get a prize if you find one! I found one and got 10% off my next purchase!
We have about 6 we have found and we display them on our bookcase.
So who wants to join us for our first craft month?
You will paint one rock to share with another Wildflower when yours arrives in the mail take a photo to share with all of us.
Just to add a bit more fun and mystery this will be a secret swap.
So email me and let me know you want to play, we will each have one Wildflower as our partner. I will send you the name of your secret Wildflower.
Let’s take until the middle of June to paint our rocks.
Please Wildflowers let me know what you think.

Denise, I can not even draw but always wanted to paint.
I think we could trace something on the rock to and paint.

Here are a few of the painted rocks we have found.
Then below rocks we picked up on the beach yesterday, and there are a couple there that I will paint.
Mi can not wait to try my hand at painting.

I will let you know when we will mail out Wildflowers. I want to hear from a couple of more Wildflowers and you will have at least 2 weeks.
Are y’all alright with just swapping rocks with no tucks? Just too keep postage down. But, y’all may do what ever you want really:-) I do not want to tell y’all what you can or can not do:-)
I just do not want but feelings okay?
Love y’all bunches and it makes my heart happy that y’all want to paint. Painting is out of my comfort zone but as a friend told me “you can do it, you do not have to worry about it ever painting or drawing wrong.” So, as juvenile as mine may be I will paint and have fun!
Do you want to paint Denise, Marilyn, Shannon and I know Darlene will as soon as she checks her e mails. |

For my sister and I, I found some rocks in the floral department at Walmart and I wrote affirmations on each rock for us to look at daily.
Such a fun way to share some kindness!

I did tole painting for a long time. I miss it and often think I'd like to start again.

| Beautiful Darlene! I don't think mine will look that good. Every time I try to paint something I usually wind up laughing at it. But I keep trying LOL! I'm planning on trying some stencils or stamps to help me out. We'll see what happens. Right now I'm working on the rock collecting part :) |

Look what I found today at or little mall and our little lending Library. Right on top was the rock! First thing me in a long time since we found one.As soon as I remember what WCPR stands for I will let you know.
I will be posting y’all’s partner in the morning, remember it is a Secret Painting Rock Swap. You reveal yourself when you send your rock. Maybe tell your partner why you painted what you painted.
