I agree Judith and Denise. Sometimes just need a break from crafting. Usually not a looooooong break, but a break nevertheless.

I probably have an equal number of started books as I have UFOs.

I've spent most of the morning/early afternoon collecting craft items and trying to figure out to organize. I appreciate all the free printables. Nice to have something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to do.

LOL! Me, too. I jump from craft to craft but typically now most are fabric or fiber related. I have lots of yarn to knit and crochet with. I have lots and lots and lots of fabric - I keep trying to find projects to make with it so I can sell some of the items. I plan to put some for sale in the MJF Marketplace for Christmas gifts. And yesterday - yes, I know, I should have resisted but I had to do it - I bought another 11 yards of fabric. LOL! Yep, I DID!

At one time in my life I was involved in rubber stamping and I still have lots of papers, stamps, inks, etc. related to that hobby. I know a lot of that would be handy in making junk journals, so maybe - just maybe - I need to start pulling it together to make one. Who knows - it may become my next favorite hobby.

I also have a spinning wheel (modern, not one of the huge vintage ones) that at one time I used. I still have some batts to spin, but that just doesn't interest me any more. In fact I am thinking of selling the spinning wheel and batts. Anyone interested?

Way back when I was on MJF in 2008 some of us were posting about our addiction to fabric and we started a 10 step program. Somewhere around here I still have my chip for going 6 months without buying fabric.

Well, I am officially addicted to playing with paper! This morning I started making boxes to hold all the small things. Yesterday I went and bought a couple of shoe shelves, (because I'm cheap, lol.) put them together and put them on top of my counter in the laundry room where I have all my papercrafting. Getting things tidied and organized so I have room to work on things. The lower counter was where the previous owner did a lot of her crafting too. Those shoe shelves were on sale and I always feel better when I don't spend lots on my hobbies.

Denise, that was a great idea for your paper crafting supplies. I think organizing whatever you have makes it easier to actually start and finish a project. If I had to search and dig around for what I wanted, I might never get started.

I enjoy cross stitching more and I need to do a bit more organizing of the Aida cloth pieces that I have at the moment. This discussion is a good motivator to do that soon. I always love to make little things for Fall.

Well, I now have at least one granddaughter who thinks junk journals are the coolest thing. Of course she's ten and all about paper and glue and things like that. Lol. I have been watching so many videos on Youtube that it is easy to be watching and not realize how much time has passed. Have to set myself a timer I believe.

My remaining gal friend came over today bringing sushi and we spent five hours playing cut and paste. She has been doing button pictures with her grand gals and had one to finish and I played around with Jean's fat envelope of goodies that arrived this morning. The beginning of a new adventure.

I joined the junk journal swap too and it has taken me over, but it is fun. Work on it in the evening when I watch tv with the hubby. I worked at a scarpbook store for about 6 years and I have lots of stuff. Love paper crafting but also my fabric crafts. Working on fabric pumpkins at the moment. Always to many projects. But it keeps me busy.

Me, too, and this is wayyyyyyyyyyy out of my comfort zone, but I think I will like it. I can't work on things until I return from Albuquerque next weekend, but am eager to jump in.

I learned from my mother about working on multiple projects at once - though I think I may have more going at once then she ever did. Maybe not. LOL! She did needlepoint, sewing, crewel, cross-stitch, quilt tops, and crochet - sometimes knitting. So seems I got her crafting genes.

I found this pattern on line for a Mug Bag - Check it out!

https://fabricartdiy.com/diy-fabric-butterfly-mug-bag-free-sewing-pattern/
You need to click on Red Brolly link in the first paragraph, then search site for Mug Bag, and scroll down to the 5 very pale links for the 5 pages of directions.

I have the 5 pages so can send if you want to try it. Just let me know.

A link on Pinterest said this had been taken down, but I found it. Not hard; the 5 downloads (hard to see because they are shown in a light pink color) are 1 page each and basically step by step. This is a cute idea and I am going to try it - maybe not immediately. LOL!

It basically consists of an inside lined bag, and a lined outer cover that wraps around it with a handle. Very cute.

LInda that mug bag is adorable! I love macaroons too. They always look so pretty is display windows.

This weekend I finished a little bowl filler with an apple theme. I just make my own pattern and wing it as I go along. I also just keep it real simple so I don't get all frustrated and also so I can finish it up in a reasonable amount of time. These days, I am not interested in big complicated projects.

Look at the cutest girls skirt I found at Goodwill for half price. It only cost me $2.50. Won't it make a cute Apple-themed purse? All it needs is to sew across the bottom, add a lining, and make a handle/strap. The eyelet was already on the bottom of it. The manufacturer is called Apple Bottoms.

Now I have to decide whether to keep it or sell it.
