When we were on the way home from Florida a couple weeks ago we stopped in this small town at an antique shop - mainly to exercise our legs from driving. Ed found this and said he wanted to get it for a planter. We still aren't sure exactly what to plant in it. I'm sure it will go in the half bath. Ed wants to set it on the counter, but I think it would look good on the wall (and there IS a hole in the back it could be hung with). On the wall it will need a cork to keep it from leaking. LOL! Any ideas of what to plant in it? I was thinking of an ivy (and maybe plastic ivy would be best??).

Winnie - since you, like my husband, are a nurse you will probably get a kick out of this.

I think it is an old urinal/bedpan from many decades ago! Planter??? Well that is interesting new use!! Ivy seems like a good idea to me too.

LOL! Yep, that is exactly what it is - Ed says it is a surgical urinal/bedpan! It was $10 and that was probably a good price. It is pretty heavy. Leave it to a nurse, eh?
