I am doing ok Denise, I have been keeping my knee moving and seems to me it’s bending good.
Trying to adjust to being back home. It’s quieter here. I will probably start painting a rock or two today.
How are you doing?
How is the little one? Hope feeling a little better after that bad break and what a bummer right at Valentine’s Day.
Well I hope you have a good Valentine’s Day.
Thank you for asking.

So glad to hear you are healing and hopefully getting back to doing what you love. Are you able to get around well now on your own?

Darlene, it is good to hear that you are back home and getting around and continuing to get stronger and more mobil . These things just take time and I know home PT will continue to make sure you are getting stronger and progressing. Enjoy getting back to some painting again. I know how much you enjoy doing that. I keep my little Fall rock that you gifted me out all year round by my faux fireplace in my logcabin room.

Hi Winnie
I am so glad you lied our rock. I plan on positing some Erickson but have to make mo room too them And I want to do larger paintings too, since I did those when I was in Copper Ridge. You never know just what kind of canvas you will find to paint on :):)

I did but this was fun! Done on a Palmelo and alas tasted very good after.

That is the cutest Palmelo I have ever seen!! A friend of ours brought over one today that had been opened and peeled into perfect segments. They are so sweet and juicy!!

Really sweet and juicy, all the ones I ate tasted like a lemon! It was juicy though! What are they supposed to taste like.

Darlene, I think Palmelo are grapefruit relatives so they taste very similar.

Not these and they are similar but are a different fruit! I tell you one thing about thes I got from this tree in Redding they would make a great very tart lemonade and they were ripe ripe! Good though. I will try one if opi find one in Safeway and see if there is a difference in taste . I understand there are some things they have as a grapefruit but these are tart. Yummy though. Can’t eat too many of them at a time because they affect some heart medication like grapefruit does. A lot seedier when very ripe.
Thanks Winnie.
Happy Saturday evening everyone.
Love you all?

Well I went up yesterday for a post op and saw the doctor and he bent me to 90% and I told him I hadn’t had any pt since I went home except for what I could do on my own,
I wouldn’t have had any if I had come home right after surgery. The rehab center was the best place for me at that time. He was going to call and see about getting some pt going.
We shall see. If I don’t get it bending more before my next appointment he might have to do it surgically.
I hope not.
We shall see.
I don’t wear my brace anymore but sure have a ways to go before I walk normally again. It is weird after spending all that time with a straight leg all that time.
I am trying to get it to bend though.
Just a little update.
Take everyone!
Blessings
Darlene

Darlene, you were a long time with it straight, it will take a while I'm sure to get it to 100%. Slow and steady will get it done. I know it has been such a long road for you. You will soon be coming out of this season and praise the Lord you will be able to walk normal again.

Darlene., It is good that you had a good post -op visit.. Just keep trying to bed your knee several times a day. Go slowly but every few days, try to bend it just a little bit more. Little steps add up to big steps and you can do it with a determined attitude, which I know you already have. Hopefully, you your doctor can get some home PT set up for you which will make it easier and faster.

Darlene, you could have an emergency situation that required you to squat down quickly!
That happened to me. And it was probably the bes thing!
In fact there I was, and the thought crossed my mind...OH NO! Dr.Evans will he so mad
at me. But he was happy!

Well he didn't bend me like I was prepared for, My knee degrees is much better than he thought so he is turning me over to the Physical therapy office to do it. I am at 90 degrees and moving around very well I guess. I took a pain pill for this and wish I hadn't I felt icky all day. Otherwise that was a good appointment and I am ready to get stronger. Yay!
One thing I got out of this appointment was a photo of his tattooed leg.
It is beautiful. I will add it too it when I am on my IPad.
What a way to end an appointment! :)

Darlene, great news about your progress already. Keep up the good work and enjoy the freedom of being able to be more mobile . You have had a long recovery and it will take time to get back to full strength but it sounds like things are doing better and better every day. Little steps add up to big gains!
