Glad to hear all is well Winnie. Our kids fared well too.
We had a thunderstorm go through last night. We needed the rain.

Looking forward to escaping the persistent hot and humid Florida weather tomorrow with our trip to Alaska. So tired of HOT and HUMID!

Winnie -- enjoy your trip and the cooler weather. Maybe you will return to the beginnings of fall.

Woke to 42 degrees this morning. Going to reach 79 today and I'm going to enjoy it as much as possible. Next week we are back to reaching 90. It may not be too bad since our humidity is lowering. Here's hoping. I know some of you probably still have some very hot days. This weather definitely makes me look forward to fall. Even JT was saying there seems to be a change in the air this time of year already.

It's been in the 50s at night but the daytime temps are jumping around like crazy -- 92 one day, 84 the next, then predicted to be 77!, then back to the 90s and 100 next week. I'm enjoying the cooler weather as long as it lasts. Maybe we will have an early fall.

We are finally getting some nice fall temps and a little color. I'm hoping the dry conditions we had don't ruin iur trees turning. The maple we have usually turns first but there is very little color . There are some leaves turning but very few. Normally by now it is blazing with color. Maybe we will just have a longer fall this year.

Our weather is above normal temps, too. Not enough rain. We leave for Portugal and Spain next week, so hopefully when we get back the temps will really be fall temps.

We drove through the high country on our way home from the reunion and saw the aspen trees in all their golden glory. Down here in the flatlands not much has changed yet, usually no color until November. Some years my sycamore is brilliant red but most years just brown. I think it has something to do with the first frost.

It's getting time to put away the sleeveless dresses and bring out the sweats.

We have bounced back up to low 80s but still down to upper 50s and low 60s at night. The big game changer is that the humidity remains very low so things are dry for a change. Long sleeves in the morning and short sleeves by afternoon kind of weather. After this past summer, I gladly take every day we can have!
