It was only 100 in Terrell yesterday. Today it’s supposed to be only in the high 90s. And they are teasing us with a chance of rain. Of course, a 25% chance of rain means 75% chance it will not rain.

Winnie -

With this hurricane that’s threatening Florida it looks like it’s angling across the state. Does that mean you were going to be getting a lot of wind and rain with this hurricane? Stay safe!

Linda Good luck on your rain today.
Our weather is typical Summertime Grey, possibly some smoke in there.. It’s very hot inland, including fires.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Hugs

We are preparing for Hurricane Idalia to hit sometime early tomorrow morning. Schools closed today and will be closed tomorrow. Right now, the storm has shifted slightly west which could send the worst of the storm more westward. We really don't know about the exact power and path right now, but by tonight we should have a better idea. It is expected to land as a Cat. 3 or possibly 4 storm, so we are going to get a lot of wind and rain even here in the center of our part of the state. UGH!

I have relatives with homes in North Port, St. Petersburg, Port Charlotte, and other towns that are very close to the west coast of Florida. Hugs and prayers that all are safe. Many Florida west coastal cities have been ordered to evacuate.

My brother is close to where it may hit land than my daughter. He will probably get more it than she will but losing power will be an issue for them with Madison. They do have a generator as back for what she needs though. Hopefully they got gas before this because that is a big mess now.

Praying for all in the path of the Hurricane!

We have a high of 85 degrees today! It was an actual high of 100 this past Friday, so we will take this and a cool breeze!!!

This week has been absolutely gorgeous weather wise. We've had such a rainy summer ... I am not complaining and am grateful given what many have been going through. This dry sunny break with the leaves changing has been nice.

Our temps have dropped considerably today. Woke up to 38 degrees. I think fall is finally making her way in temp wise.

Having a rainy day. Wishing it was colder so it would be snow. There's a chance of it tomorrow! Hoping it comes and stays!

We had a monsoon last night and got over 4 inches of rain! Today is blustery and getting cooler by the hour. Lots of leaves and tree debris fell from this storm that hit all of Florida over the weekend.

We are between Bismarck -48 and Jamestown -45 wind chills. Thermometer shows air temp at -22. I had to go out this morning and do chores and will run out about 5 to give the chickens fresh hot water but I sure make it a quick trip. Have chili in the crockpot, the fireplace going and I am enjoying a good book.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Be safe, Julie! Seems most of the country is experiencing blasts of cold, cold air!! We are very cold here but not that cold. :)

Wow Julie, that is cold! Years ago I lived in Jamestown for about 3 months. It was nice there and a really pretty place.
I don’t miss that kind of cold.
Living here on the coast has been fairly good.
Although we are having horrid winds with rain today here.
Stay warm everyone!

We've made it up to 10 today! Honestly I do love the snow. But the temps just.. I don't know. Our heat seems to run constantly and it's only set at 68 during the day.
