They had 25,000 people at the game. That's all that were allowed. We didn't watch the halftime show. We never do. I enjoyed the jeep commercial they had on this year though.

I need to find a You-tube with all the super bowl commercials. I haven't seen any of them. And that's what I like to watch. LOL!

On another subject - Does anyone happen to have any Wii controllers with the motion sensors they don't need or use? If so, maybe we could make a deal.
We only have one working controller with sensor, so we can't do any of the 2-player games or sports. I ordered 2 new ones from Amazon yesterday and they arrived today. They were supposed to be the ones that had the internal motion sensors. Ed synched them up with the Wii and when he tried to play the sports, both said that there was no motion sensor. They will be going back to Amazon tomorrow. I don't understand how they can sell/send something that does not fit the description. It is so frustrating!

Oh boy....I had a bit of catching up to do! My computer hard drive crashed about 2 weeks ago. I had JUST finished getting everything done to take to our accountant and had made a backup onto a jumpdrive. The hard drive was replaced and I brought the computer home and it's not the computer I took in...looks and acts completely different. Not bad, just different. When the hard drive crashed, some of the data was possibly damaged so the IP guy tried to transfer all of the data that he could onto the new hard drive. I found out today that a very important file that I need to run my bookkeeping program is NOT there....I wanted to cry! I will have to call him tomorrow and have him look for it. When I opened my program, it was just the program...but everything was gone...my accounts, my employees, my vendors.... The QuickBooks agent said if we can find that file, we will be ok. If not, I guess you know that I will be spending a lot of time getting a whole new system put together. Ugh. I'd rather be sewing!
Thank you for the birthday wishes!
Denise, I hope that you have a wonderful day!

Debbie,
So sorry to hear about your computer crashing. Do you use QuickBooks on a laptop or desktop?
We have ours on a desktop and I'm just curious. I can't imagine all those things being lost. Will pray that the file can be found intact.

The mail service has become very frustrating to me of late. We didn't have this much trouble with the Covid issues last year. Did the p.o. go on strike or something. It is taking forever for my mail to get where it needs to be.

Oh, no, Debbie. I sure hope they find that file for you. Is it for a family business?

Denise - the mail has been terrible. I can't believe how long mail is taking. And at our post office they don't seem to follow Hold notices or any notes on the Hold notices. We say to Hold the mail at the PO and they deliver it; if we say to deliver the mail after the Hold, they hold it. GRRRRRRR!

I heard last night that there were many pile ups on the highways due to road conditions. Many of them in the south where they have had ice storms. I hope everyone is safe and well.

Has anyone heard from Marlee or Kathy recently? I know someone was asking about Kathy on the main forum. I have tried to reach Marlee since that first hurricane they had but haven't been able to get a response.

It has been awhile since I have been here. Miss you ladies. So sorry your computer crashed Debbie. We use quick books as well. Our computer crashed 2 yeas ago as we were getting our tax prep done. They were only able to recover about 2/3rds of the information, the rest I had to recreate. That was a really stressful couple of weeks, because of course I procrastinate and don’t give myself a lot of extra time. I use an external hard drive now for backup and do a backup every time I do book work.

We are in week 2 of our main bathroom remodel. Our carpenter is taping and mudding the walls today. I cant wait for this project to be done, it has created a huge mess, but will be so worth it in the end. I had a walk-in closet removed from an adjoining bedroom and a small hall closet to make it big enough for a walk-in shower.

It has been well below zero here this week, this morning the air temp was -27.8 and with the wind chill it showed -41. Other than going out to do chicken chores and watch an occasional gate for my husband I am quite happy to sit in front of the fireplace and crochet or read.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Oh Julie that is cold! I stay in the house by the fire and we are only in the 30s. I can't imagine below zero temps.

I am sure you will love your walk in shower. We use the one we installed when we enlarged the half bath for my dad to use. The upstairs still has a tub. Since we will be selling we aren't going to change it.

Since we really don't know when we will be moving, sometime this year, I have started packing stuff we won't be using for awhile. Sorting and thrifting as I go along. Sorting is much different when you think about whether it is worth packing and moving it. I imagine we will be downsizing much more than I thought.

So good to see you here!

Morning Ladies, I have been trying to get in touch with Marlee but no luck. Yes it is cold here. 31 and freezing rain and fog, feels like 23. That is cold for us here in Texas.

Sherry,
So good to see you! I heard you were going to get some very cold weather there. I never would have believed it would get so cold in Texas.
I did see Marlee on FB a few times but not recently.

Temperatures overnight next week are predicted to be in the 2s - UGH! BRRR! We are also supposed to get 7-10 inches of snow this weekend. That happens in Texas, but not every year. We have enough food to keep us for a month, so we are good. Cats have been housebound the past few days. CePoo wants to go out in the morning and immediately comes back to the door to be let back in. LOL! She doesn't like the cold, either.

There was a 133 car pile-up on 35W in Ft Worth yesterday morning. 6 people were killed and over 65 went to the hospital for treatment. Lots of semis and cars/trucks. So glad it wasn't any worse. The highway was closed all day. They needed cranes to remove all the cars and other vehicles. Prayers for the families whose lives were changed yesterday.

I saw that pile up Linda. So sorry to hear of the fatalities and injuries. Ice makes for treacherous driving conditions especially when it's an area that doesn't normally have it.

The pile-up has been on the National News on most stations. It was in an area where the first damaged cars could not be seen by the traffic coming behind them until they came to the top of the hill, so because of no warning, they were still going around 60 mph when they then saw they had to stop. Unfortunately not easy on an icy highway.

So sorry about the crashed computer. I have it so good. Our son who lives with us is a tech first class. He can fix anything! It's been cold in Minnesota too. Not as cold as ND but 27 below wind chill and it seems the weather is in a holding pattern! I see it is cold all the way into Texas. Hope you all stay warm!

Yesterday was fun, altho in a kinda bittersweet way. My group of sewing friends, 9 of us, had been getting together once a month for years. The numbers have slowly diminished over the years due to moving and death until last year there were only four of us left. We got together yesterday at the park, with masks on, (except when we ate cake :-)) to say goodbye to another who is moving out of state. It was so nice to be together for the first time in a year but so sad to say goodbye.
