YEE HAW!! My Christmas present arrived at the Quilt shop today. A new BabyLock Celebrate serger - we are going to pick it up in a few minutes and hopefully I will have time to play with it soon. After the shop completes inventory in January, the owner will give me a crash course in ways to best use it. Really looking forward to this new adventure in sewing.

Linda, you will be amazed at what your serger can do! I always used mine for finishing seams on what I was sewing. I took a class when I got my new one and a whole new world opened up for me! Haha! Enjoy!

Debbie, she isn't 101 but she just celebrated her Christmas of that many. She was 3 months her first one. So at 100 yrs old it would be her 101st one.
She looks so much like my dad.

So today we didn't have services at our church so I went through our ornaments that are not on our tree and sorted them. Got rid of the ones I no longer wanted or needed since we are also downsizing things. I had 3 trees at one time. So I have lots I may put out for sale. Many Hallmark ones. Anyway, seasons in our life change as well as seasons of nature. Feels so much better. Also going to go through the decor and only keeping what we absolutely love or are family heirlooms. I have many from my parents and in laws. Also the ones my children have made and given, those of course are keepers.
Worked a bit on cleaning up the craft room yesterday. Had my granddaughter helping me so she willing took things I was getting rid of. Once I get into it a may do a craft supplies giveaway or something to that effect on the main forum. Darlene used to do a traveling craft box but I didn't really end up getting rid of much that way. lol
JT gave me a gift card as one of my gifts so I sent for a record player yesterday as I also received some records for Christmas. It is a suitcase type and comes with a separate case to hold records. I have some from my dad also so the case will be handy to protect them from any damage. The record player dad had has a warped turntable so it needs replaced.
I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday in rest and relaxation. Though we all have necessary things I do hope it is a chance to rest today for all of you.

Sounds like you got rid of a lot of stuff Marilyn.

I have been trying to do that and get more organized too.
I hope I can!

Denise, I got a record player last year, the suitcase kind too. I love it. I played my Andy Williams Christmas album on it this year. Prayers as you downsize.

I have a huge stack of stuff on my desk again as I sort out what it all is and make a decision of what to do. Our poor Christmas tree is so dry that I need to get it down. I have a number of good books open and I have been reading from all of them as the weather has been very cold outside. It seems like perfect reading weather for this Florida Farmgirl. The season flies by so quickly and here we are headed into a New Year on Friday!! It seems hard to fathom 2021 is staring at us already. Right before Christmas, I made up a huge list of little things I want to change around and decrease clutter in the kitchen and my little Cabin office. I also added cleaning out my office closet with all my shipping supplies. It is a nightmare in there right now!! Like Denise, when I put away the holiday decorations, I plan to think about what can be downsized. My little sewing nook is also in a dire need of some attention. It needs to be better organized as the space is quite limited and I seem to be collecting more and more little things that need to be stored or passed on. Has anyone else found that even downsizing efforts, stuff keeps sneaking up little by little again??? Thankfully my sewing area is very small and it forces me to confront stuff because there is literally no place to put it!

I definitely need to downsize - Christmas decorations, sewing/craft/quilting stuff, books, and general things. Since we moved here last March, I have been unable to find a folder with very important papers in it - marriage license, birth certificate, copies of our wills. I know I can get copies of all, but I would really like to find the originals. I THINK I have seen it since we were here, and I know I left nothing in the old house, so it must be here - someplace. Wish me luck that I can find it and please pray that it shows up soon. I have prayed to St. Anthony before. Maybe he can help me again.

Winnie, I am going to work in my craft room tomorrow. I can't even see the top of my desk anymore. I need to get into the closet and clean my craft stuff out of it. On my to do list. Yes I understand the stuff sneaking in.

Linda, I will pray you find those papers.

Thank you, Denise. I know they have to be here somewhere, but where - is the problem. Things are pretty organized, so I can't believe I can't find them.

Linda, when I seriously can't find something...I usually end up asking my best friend for help! I am always so happy when it turns up. My best friend is God! He is so amazing.
Lately my black phone and my black cane seem to like to hide from me.

Linda,
I lost something a couple of weeks ago and knew when I was looking for something else I would find it. Well, I don't know if I did because now I can't even remember what it was I lost. LOL!

Thank you Marilyn and Denise. I am always misplacing something - right after I've had it in my hands. LOL! I am sure He knows where it is, and I am sure I will find it eventually.
