I'm amazed that we have come to October so quickly. At least it seems to have come quickly to me.

What is something you look forward to in the month of October? For me it is my daughter's birthday and my grandson's. Both fall in the same week.

October is my favorite month because it really starts to feel like fall with much cooler days and nights. By the end of the month we are lighting the wood stove in the family room and getting things cozy.
I do much more baking during the month of October as the kitchen doesn't get so hot. I also like to staring making goodies to put away for the holidays.

I have already started om some Christmas gifts. Have to put things away when company shows up so they don't accidentally see their gifts.

The days start to shorten in light time so I do a lot more reading during this time of year and I also tend to get caught up with my penpals too.

Have had a great time with my mil. She ended up staying two weeks with us. She is doing so much better being here. I hope it continues when we take her back this weekend.

Hope this month brings good health, happiness and fun times to all of you!

Morning Denise, It has started to cool here a little bit, but I will take it. Love the fall, October is the month Mark and I married and it just seems like the perfect time for us. Life seems to slow but is still busy with everyday life. More baking and getting things ready for the holidays. Plus the new baby this year, its going to be fun. Have a good one.

Rabbit, rabbit! Does anyone else say that at the start of a new month?

Sherry,
Congratulations on the new baby and your anniversary!!
Great things to celebrate. My parents were married in October.

It's such a beautiful month!! Love the weather this month too. Things get crisper, the air and the leaves.

Linda, it means good luck for the rest of the month!
October is my Daughter's Birthday too, Denise.
I love October! Fall has been my favorite season since I was a kid! I always change over my Summer sheets to Great Pumpkin Charlie brown for Lily June's bed here in October.
Love windows raised! we have 70's for 7 days!! no rain!! Pumpkins and and Corn mazes.
We are taking Lily June to the Priddy farms tomorrow to get a Pumpkin and they have Baby goats to pet. about 3 miles from our house.

I love to bake this time of year too. Try new Pumpkin recipes!

I am excited to have October come too.
Congratulations Sherry on the new grand baby.
Congratulations on the 70 degree days. Connie.
My grand daughter told me last week that her pregnancy is high risk due to her lupus. She sees a doctor who specializes in high risk ptegnancies. She also saw her lupus doc about three weeks ago.

I have always loved October...perhaps because God brought me into this world, as a very slightly belated birthday present to my mother!!! Her birthday was the 6th and mine is the 7th. My daddy had an October 27 th birthday. So growing up it was an exciting month.
September was such a beautiful month and October seems to be predicted to be the same. Day time highs in the mod 80s night time 50s and low 60s. I'll take it.
Our new puppy is a mess. Cute and full of energy.

October is my son's birthday month, too - the 16th. I love October and the nice cooler weather it usually brings. I have a new maid coming starting Tuesday - I hope she works out. I dislike housework and would rather be sewing or working on other fall crafts.

I am having PT 3 times a week - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. The morning have been cooler the last 3 days and it is pretty fool going to my 9 AM PT appts. The exercises are not hard but my muscles are still very sore so the exercises are iritatingly painful. I am doing as much exercising as I can; we have already seen improvement in how far I can move my arm in just 4 PT days of exercising. My PC doctor ways I will probably need at least 8 weeks of PT and maybe more. She said that I should not stop PT until I have full movement back, because once I stop PT the improvement will also stop. I am glad she said that because I did not know that improvement would stop like that.

Marilyn - when is your granddaughter due? I must have missed something because I hadn't heard that she was pregnant. That is so nice a - Great grandchild for you to spoil!

Getting ready to take JT's mom home soon. She ended up staying two weeks. Her situation with his sister is not good. We may have to decide on whether to let her keep staying there or not. A few things to change before doing that.
Going to take advantage of the nice cool day to get some more yard work done.
Have a great day everyone.

noun
noun: hygge
a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture).

Yes -- some of that would be nice. Also a nature walk, a new hobby, and getting creative with pumpkins. Looking forward to it all!

Now that we are having some cold, wet weather I will be staying in and working on some more projects. Mostly around the house but some sewing for Christmas gifts too.

Still have 3 birthdays coming this month in our family so getting gifts ready for those too.
Heading west for the last two. But everywhere is west of here. Lol.
Enjoy your day Everyone!

Today is overcast but makes indoors warm and cozy. My roses are still blooming. I guess they love all the rain we have been having. They usually bloom on and off right through December. I always intend to cut the bush back but never know when to do it as it continues to bloom. I always have a running list of things to do outside but get stopped when it is like this outside. Hoping the weekend is sunny so we can get some more cleanup done and get the woodshed stocked for winter.

Linda, I hope things are going well and you are continuing to heal and gain movement.

Waaaaaaa!! We are in the mid 80s today and it is hot outside. Sure wish I had some fall like weather to enjoy as I am sick and tired of the AC and wearing my summer clothes still! But, I love all the cute pictures everyone has posted on this link. They are great and so pretty!!
