Hello, Marlee!!! I'm so glad to read your update, I think about how you are doing often. I agree with Winnie about getting a cane. It will make a big difference and will help you feel a little more confident. I hope that you can get in soon to get your knee fixed....hopefully things will start opening up again very soon!
I will pray for your friend!

Bonnie Love your Cat!
Marlee, prayers, I've had 2 surgeries on 1 knee. Hang in there! One day at a time!!

I worked outside a few hours yesterday and today! Planted my favorite flower Zinnia! and my Mini Yellow rose bush made it thru the Winter! I bought these Herb Markers in October at the Marketplace. I couldn't wait to use them! Windy and about to rain today!

Connie your gardens are beautiful. Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers too, I put them everywhere I can around farm buildings. I love those plant markers. I gave one of the granddaughters a wood burning kit for Christmas last year, I think I am going to borrow it and make me a set. I have never had an orchid, are they hard to grow? Planting potatoes today and getting my pea trellises finished so I can plant them tomorrow.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Thank s Ya'll. When its too hot for me to go outside, I can see my flowerbeds from the Laundry room window.
I Love orchids!

Julie, the markers are just small tree limbs. I use to woodburn when I was about 10. I was hoping they would sell some more sets of these but the mall closed before Spring got started. and the virus forced closing early too,

I can’t get out to take a close op up of my yard but I got these from my window, I just had to share.
Spring will bring a whole lot of beautiful things and a whole new meaning this year!

Blessings
I love you all!

YAY!! YIPPEE CAYAY!! Not sure how to spell that last one. YEE HAW!! My house went on the market last Friday, it had 4 showings last week, 1 so far today with 2 more scheduled today, and 1 scheduled for tomorrow. So far I am getting a full price cash offer tonight, only thing is it will have a 60-day contingency on them selling their house. But because it is cash, no appraisal is needed. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! I won't accept until the other three showings today and tomorrow, because - who knows - I may get another full price offer with no contingency. My realtor had said she thought it would sell in a month or less, I couldn't believe just over a week! I'll update when I know more. I was so worried that the virus would affect selling it through the summer.

Denise -- I have orchids in white, yellow green, bronze, red, and a couple have never bloomed so I don't know what they are yet. These are alll cymbidiums; they are the easiest to grow and can be kept outside unless it gets less than 28 degrees. I also have some dendrobiums but none of them have bloomed for me yet. I'm just a beginner with them and still learning what they like.

Darlene -- you are so lucky to live where you are. Things like to grow there and it is all so pretty.

Darlene, so pretty!

Judith, I enjoy going to Longwood Gardens here in the Spring when all the flowers are in bloom. They have a conservatory where they have all kinds of flowers and one whole room of just orchids. It smells so good there. They have many things growing outdoors too. We had hoped to go this year.

Linda,
That is great news on the house. I hope it all works out for you to sell soon.

Thank you and it is a good thing that plants like to grow because they have to be sturdy with me :)

I had an orchid once some one gave me in about 2008, it lasted about 10 years, sure was pretty!
Everyone’s plant are so pretty!

Linda that is awesome about your house, I hope they love it like you did..

Beautiful day here. Ed is working on getting flagpole ready to put up in front yard and I will be sewing some, I think.

This afternoon we have a meeting with the realtor to accept the contract on the house around 2:30. Then at 3:45 we both have virtual FaceTime doctor appointments with the PA in the doctor's office. We have to weigh ourselves and take our blood pressure before our appointments. Busy day.

Lovely blooms are popping up in HenHouse gardens! Connie, I love those darling herb markers you found too. They will make your garden so cute this Summer.

Linda, wonderful news about your home sale!! That is fantastic and I know you and Ed are delighted to send the place on to a new owner. How super that you were able to sell so quickly too.

We had a cold front move through so it is cooler, low humidity , and bright sunshine today. This week will be pretty good except on Wednesday when another potentially bad storm heads our way from the states west of us. Spring is always very tumultuous with hot and cold colliding!

We have a lot of bonsai trees. It's my husband's passion. He also helps take care of a collection for the state at Como Park Conservatory. We keep some indoors in the winter, some on a protected porch with a heater so it doesn't freeze and the Minnesota hardy ones outside. We have an indoor pond with koi. They soothe the soul when winter hits.

We are apprehensive about the sale -- we accepted the offer. However, she needs to sell her house quickly to meet the contingency dates and my house won't get as many views for 6 weeks while it is in contingency. If I get another good offer I can void hers, but with hers being a cash full price offer, I don't need an appraisal, which is better. I'm praying that hers sells Quickly. She is on lake and one just sold in her gated community in a week.

Lots of wind and rain last night. Glad it is over. Nice weather ahead for a while.

Linda, They should still be showing your house during this time. I have never heard of them not showing until the sale goes into escrow. You have the right to have them show it.
Hers may sell quickly. You just never know. My brother in law sold his house within 3 days of listing and he got the full asking price. He was offered more by another buyer but had already accepted the first offer. He closed in a week. So, you never know what can happen!
