One of my wishes came true -- I just found out that nurseries here are considered essential businesses. We have one about 15 miles away that has senior hours on Tuesday mornings at 8 am.

Judith, we found out the same thing yesterday too! We went to a nursery way out to the county line because they have some native Milk Weed plants. We have been having so much fun the past year growing Milk Weed plants in our backyard and watching all the Monarch butterflies go through their life cycle. Everyday we have Monarchs in out backyard and it has been such a joy! I was surprised that nurseries are an essential business, but excited to see how these new plants work!

I have been hearing that nurseries are essentials on Facebook. I really don't know why unless it is due to growing gardens.

Growing things is essential. I remember the victory garden my parents had in WWII. We don't know how long this crisis will last so it's a good idea to plant a few seeds wherever you have the space and enjoy the harvest that hasn't been touched by any hands except your own.

Denise, gardening is closely related to farming. Farmers and feed and seed stores are very essential. My son told me this early on. Farmers feed the nation.
So cattle and plant farmers as well as dairymen are essential.
He said the same goes for lumberyards and contractors (like himself) and carpenter's...among others.

Oh by the way...you should not be asked for a paper to prove you are going to work. That is illegal.
I asked my hubby if they had been stopped...every day he said no. Then I saw the answer online.

That is different in every state. Depends on what each state has mandated. We are in "lockdown" only necessary travel. Checking out of state plates coming in.

Cute nails Denise, what are they like for Easter? Be creative.

Take care.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
