Most of you know, I am a planner. In a big way, lol. So I was wondering what each of you would like to see in our Hen House this upcoming year. Badge challenges? Swaps? Be creative and let me know what you are thinking...

I would love to continue the badge challenges, if that's OK. I enjoy doing them - it's been a bit tough this year with my dad passing and my husband being gone, but Lord Willing, 2019 will be different :)

I would love to see swaps - I was bringing out all my ornaments to add to my tree yesterday - and it was so special to add the ones from 2016 that were from our henhouse!

Perhaps some special swaps, maybe tied to special days of the year. Perhaps Valentines, Easter, Independence Day,etc. Or seasonal. I think tags are great, small and easy to mail.

Joyce - LOVE that you are willing to continue the badge challenges. I understand the difficulties of this year! Christmas is so hard this year... A LOT of crying here and heavy hearts with the passing of my Father-in-Love earlier this year! We are trying to figure out if we are going to try skyping this year... that was Pop's favorite thing to do! But I'm worried we will all start crying! Anyways, definitely praying for you sweet friend! As for the ornaments - I too was excited to pull them out to decorate the tree. Do we want to try a monthly one or should we just do every other month?

Marilyn - I definitely want to do some holiday swaps this year! I also like tags... I have some that I hang up by season :)

Hi girls!!! I am so excited to stsrt some new fun things with you this coming new year. I'm away from home all day today and surprisingly, I have cell service for a minute. I just wanted to let you know I'll be posting back here, hopefully tonight.

Tags are usually 2 1/2" to 3" wide and anywhere from 3" to 6" long. They are decorated somehow, just be creative! They usually have the top corners notched or curved or ??? They have a hole punched at the top where we enjoy tying all manner of stuff like ribbons, eye!ash yarn etc. You Can ink the edges distress them or leave them plain. ( Think luggage tags of old!) They are fun and and I love to look at the ones hanging on my twig tree.I
Because of the small size, you can use the snippets and left overs from other projects. Tie on a charm a button or a few. I love to make tags!

Shannon, thank you for the link! There is some wonderful talent out there...what beautiful tags! My mom scrapbooks...this would be right up her alley.
I am up for whatever your girls think. Right now, I love the idea of working on badges. I know that Joyce loves to read...would anyone be interested in a visual book club?
I will keep thinking...maybe I can come up with some other ideas.

When has the last Sisterhood Issue come out? I was looking back and I haven't had one since May 2018. Does this make sense? Have they stopped them?

Joyce, are you talking about the Sister Issue? The one that goes to your email? I just got mine day before yesterday.

Yes, I am. I don't understand why I haven't been getting them...how strange. I've emailed about various things but haven't heard from anyone back in a month or more. Debbie, could you forward it to me?

Of course! Could you give me your email address and I can send it to you? I think that is odd, too...why you haven't been getting them.

I tried emailing them again...I think it is odd too. I just realized today and went back and did a search and the last I received was May. I'll message you my email!

I haven't received a sister issue since the last time Shannon emailed it to me. I think it was Mays issue.
