Hello Wildflowers!!

April is beckoning "Garden Gate" to me :) I thought instead of just saying one specific area, each person could pick one or more topics to work towards. For example, I'd like to work on Bee Good To Your Mother Earth, Gaining Ground and Backyard Farmer. Each persons may be different, but I think if we choose anything from Garden Gate that would be great! Please share what you plan to focus on this month.

Here are my goals....let's see how many I can actually finish!
Bee Good to Mother Earth....decide which plants to order so that I can plant my butterfly/bee garden
Grow Where You're Planted....decoupage the dried wild flowers that I collected LAST June
Weather....just need to apply for the badges
Putting Away for Winter...I need to make a dish using a combination of dried and frozen produce.

Joyce, I would love to hear how you are going to start your composting project! Also, thank you for the beautiful birthday card!!! I still have it sitting out. My mom is a card maker and she loved it, too!

Excited to see your decoupage, Debbie! Your welcome for the birthday card :)

We already have a compost bin and have been working on filling it all winter. I started this badge last November. We have been putting all our cow, chicken, goat and pig manure in there, along with all our "green bin" compostable material. We have strict guidelines here as to what can go in the garbage, so it wasn't to difficult to switch the green bin in to our outdoor compost. I'm so excited to add it to my garden!!
