For February I thought it would be fun to work on the Bibliophile Badges. A perfect month in the winter (at least here!) to think about the library etc. I encourage you all to work at least on beginner. Just one badge a month will get you 12 by the end of the year! A realistic and attainable goal :) I hope some more will join me! Make sure to report back with your progress.

If we really got busy reading, we could complete the beginning badge for Reading, "Riting and "Rythmatic. It says to pick out 3 in 3 catagories.....fiction, non fiction and poetry and read them. Would you interpret that as 3 books, 1 in each category...or 3 books in EACH category???

Debbie, I interpreted 3 in each - but maybe that's wrong?

Joyce, I kind of thought it was 3 in each for a total of 9. Just wasn't sure.

I'll join in for this one. I will definitely utilize my library, but I think the majority of my books will come from inside our home. We have so many books already that I want to read, or started and never finished.

Glad to have you join us!! I wonder, Sabrina, if you can use the chocolate book towards one of your non fiction book reads?

Yeah it seems like you should be able to do that! Sabrina, what's the Bible journaling you're doing? I have a journaling Bible and I need to use it more!

I think that would work, I know Bryan let me double something else up once (can't remember now what it was). I should actually LOOK at the requirements for these two badges!!

I'm not feeling great today so forcing myself to rest a bit, planning to start the Chocolate book here in a bit.

Erin, I am using a Chronological One Year Journaling Bible and reading the daily entry and doing at least one journaling entry per week. I put it all on my blog every Sunday and I have a Facebook group for discussion so there are lots of ways to participate :).

How is the reading going?
I used to read a LOT...and found that over time, I was spending time on my iPad. Since the beginning of the year I've read 5 books and do not miss the iPad at all! And Brad is happy because I've let him take over playing my Word Chum games! He gets better scores than I do, anyway!

How is everyone making out this month? I LOVE reading, but find with a family and farm, reading has taken somewhat of a back burner. I just love it too much for it to be a complete back burner! Interestingly, I used to only read fiction...but it seems these days I'm reading non-fiction.

Joyce, as usual I'm about a month behind on my badges! I'm working on it, but its slowly but surely right now.

Sabrina, I did check out your blog! I love your bible pages. Your blog is so cute too! Here's one I worked on this week, inspired by Classical Conversations (as I'm sure you'll recognize, Sabrina)!

I'm not very good at lettering, but hopefully I'll get better over time!

Thanks Debbie! I can draw fairly well, but I've never been a confident calligrapher. My husband is the opposite. He's very good at calligraphy but not so sure when drawing. It's kind of weird how that works. You would think one would go with the other, but at least in our case it doesn't seem to.
