So glad most everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I am having a lot of pain in my knee. So much I've been using a walker. Dr. Did an mri and thinks it is my back. I find out tomorrow. That sure takes the stuff in' out of one's energy. We had almost 60 degrees today! Normal is 20s. Sure hoping for snow for Christmas.

Hello everyone,

Catching up while listening to Danaher & Cloud - The Holiday Album. For those new to our henhouse, Amy Cloud is an artist and is presently on break due to family obligations. I just love her music. She is so talented. What a great holiday album!

Glad everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving. Mine was quiet. Not complaining, I prefer it that way. I needed the time to myself.

Today I plan on getting my holiday cards all done up ready to be posted later on during the month. We had our first snow fall the other day. What a blessing to wake up to such beauty. Mother Nature sure knows how to dress!

Catch you all later!

I've been taking care of my sweet kitty the past 5 days as he has had a recurrence of pancreatitis with all of it's troubles. Saturday the vet and I talked again about the fact that int might be time to consider euthanasia if he didn't rally by Monday morning. Well, he did rally by Sunday and seems to be holding his own. But he sleeps most of the days and doesn't do much. My vet said that as long as he seems comfortable and enjoying his food and life, we can just coast. Gosh, it is so hard to watch him decline but even harder to think about putting him down. So, I am doing hospice kitty care at my house and just enjoying every moment that he has being comfortable and content. I know these hours are limited and I plan to enjoy every one of them to the fullest. The weather here has been beautiful with warm days in the low 70s and cool eves. I've been out on our porch with kitty reading and knitting while he sleeps beside me on the little sofa.

I am so sorry for your kitty worry Winnie. Making the decision to euthanize is so heart wrenching, the longer we can keep them with us, the better. Carole, how wonderful to hear from you, I love Amy's Christmas CD. We are having a heat wave right now, mid 40's most days and no snow on the ground. Pretty unusual for North Dakota this time of year. Keith is getting a barn torn down, a project he just doesn't have time for in the spring, summer or fall. I have been working on getting Christmas gifts wrapped, finishing up a few gifts and inputting all our tax information into the computer. We have a meeting with our accountant next week and with harvest I had fallen months behind. Today I am dipping the chocolate covered cherries I started yesterday. They are much better if they have some freezer time before eating. Have a great day everyone.

Oh Winnie, so sorry to hear about your kitty, they are so special, I have one that is 15 and still doing pretty well and not looking forward to her declining. She is still pretty strong.
I will put you both in my prayers.
Julie, it sounds like you are not having Christmas weather yet. You have been very busy.
Sara have a good day and I am enjoying your stories.

Everyone have a great Wednesday.

Love you all
Blessings

Winnie, I am so sorry about your kitty. Two years ago our Cookie began dying. She was 14 and had developed a tumor on her spine. We worked with her for about six weeks. When she could no longer walk I took her to the vet.so sad. Mr. Twister is 16. He got so excited the day the Christmas tree arrived. On Tuesday, while my friend was doing her therapy, I went to Dollar General. I bought six little cans of cat Food just for him.He is so funny. He knows where his special food stays. Even though his bowl is full of MeowMix, he goes over to the pantry and Meows.
