Welcome home, Linda!! Glad to hear you had a fantastic and interesting trip. I hope that cold resolves soon too.

By the way, I wanted to clarify a point I was talking about previously. I do not own a rental place. When I have insomnia, I play this mind game of decorating a rental house I lived in during nursing school. However......I WISH I still owned that little house for some reason. It was nothing special at all , like many rental homes, but for some reason, I just loved it's plainness and small square footage. Anyway, it is a great place to "visit" during those hours at night when I am wide awake.. I have redone that kitchen a thousand ways!! LOL!!

Thanks, WInnie. I think this is a sinus infection and will call the doctor tomorrow.
Sounds like a neat little rental house and love that you keep redecorating it.

Linda glad you are feeling better. I know you have much you want to do.

I started my day by canning but MS fatigue dropped on me so my plans for more canning has changed. I'm preserving rest of the peppers in olive oil which requires little work.

I received the cuttings of collard green trees yesterday so they will have to be planted in pots today. When I have them in their pots I plan on doing little or nothing for the rest of the day. If MS fog doesn't set in I may write a little bit on chapter 2 of my new story.

Welcome home Linda!

Sara - sorry to hear your MS fatigue kicked in! I didn't realize collard greens grew on trees... or is that an expression? Even though we lived in the south for so long, collards wasnt something we ever grew overly fond of ;)

Life here is overwhelming at the moment. Trying to get things ready for the kids' school and holidays. My section is THIS Friday, so I would appreciate the prayers! My first surgery was on my arm after a car accident. There was a miscommunication (there was a standing joke that the surgeon I had did his best surgeries when he was high and unfortunately there was truth to that!), I was overdosed on medications, and I coded. Ever since I have been petrified of surgeries!!! I've had three previous sections, but none of them were scheduled. The first was an emergency section and the other two ended up in sections. Anyways, knowing I'm having surgery Friday is zapping me of everything I have both physically and emotionally!

Shannon good to hear from you. Prayers for you and your family.

Collard green trees are different than the ones grown from seed. I learnt about them on FJF Garden Gate. The cuttings look a lot like asparagus.

Thanks Darlene for the well wishes. I am close to finishing chapter 2.

This morning and tomorrow I'm canning celery. Also tomorrow a crew is coming to work on the eastside of my house and replace large support beam on Yellow Rose Cottage's porch. After repairs are done the whole side of house and beam will be painted. One thing about owning a house there's always something to be done to keep it up.

Tuesday I met the young man who will be working on my house and also cans. I enjoyed talking with him because he really likes it and gets excited talking about it. He also remembers his grandmother preserving in oil and wants to give it a try. If you met him on the street you would never guess he would don an apron to can. He's the robust outdoorsy good old boy type.

Sara, you are making great progress on your current book!! How neat to have met a young man who also is fascinated with canning and loves to do it himself. He is a rare young man to have such an interest these days. I am sure he totally loved hearing you talk about your projects and enjoyed sharing a bit with you as well.

Hello everyone,

Linda, glad you had a wonderful trip. Wow, that's expensive wi-fi service! I wouldn't of paid for that also. Nothing on the internet is THAT urgent for me. Glad the meds have kicked in.

Shannon, all the best for the delivery. Will be thinking about you. This might be to late but when I was pregnant with Pumpkin my Dr. said that if the glass of wine is going to calm me, have a glass! I only drank one glass of wine during my pregnancy. I was so careful of what I ate etc ...

Sara, Great story about farmgirl! So glad you are paying attention to your body. Not good to over do it! I have an auto-immune myself and let me tell you, my body tells me when I've gone overboard ... it actually tells me before I even get close to overboard! lol Oh dear on the termites.

Not much going on here. I haven't been feeling very well for the past week. A bad cold turning into a possible sinus infection. I've been going to bed early, attempting to starve the unwelcome germ!

Catch you all later!

Shannon I will be waiting to hear how things go, take care. my prayers go out to you.
Sara, i really do enjoy your stories and have been saving them to print out later to read again.
Thanks for the Tasha Tudor's Garden. I hope they caught the termites before they really got started. They are ugly little things.
Winnie you have a wonderful day!

Love you all so much.

Carole, Oh those nasty sinus infections! Hope you feel better soon.

Darlene, I love Tasha Tudor's books. I have as many as I've been able to get my hands on.

Darlene glad you received it. It's in celebration of you being our FGOTM over on MJF.

The repairs were well done and it looks really good - if needed I will use them again. Good home repairmen are getting harder and harder to find.

I went to bed at 5 - just gave out - woke at 7 - hope to be back in bed by 9 or 10. Want to finish canning celery in the morning.
