November is here! I love November so much. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It kicks off the holiday feasts with family and friends all around. I also love the emphasis on gratitude. Too often we don't stop and reflect on all we have in life, just on what we don't have. I'm thankful for my wonderful family and their health, the lovely house we have, my vehicles, the food we are provided on a daily basis, the propane in our tank (because it's getting chilly!), the clothes we have, and for all of my farmgirls! This fellowship among strangers who would never in normal circumstances meet each other is definitely a bright spot in my life. Please share what you're thankful for below!

Me too Erin! Just love Thanksgiving. I have so much to be grateful for. Firstly, my relationship with Christ and second my family. Our home and all those we share it with.

Our Thanksgiving was last month, but I still thankful....especially for my saviour, Jesus Christ, and my husband and children. I am also thankful for my cow and her sweet precious baby.

I know Joyce! After I posted this I looked up when Canada's Thanksgiving was, and I thought it was the same month. Sorry! Regardless of when that particular holiday is, November is still such an anticipation of advent. I love it!

Good Morning, everyone! I love November....autumn is my favorite season. We usually spend most of November in Montana. We're hoping to leave here on Monday afternoon to head that way. They are getting a bunch of snow now...they might have up to 2 feet by the end of the weekend where our place is there. Hopefully we won't have to be driving in it the whole way.
Last year I was working on my Homespun Christmas badge and was going crazy trying to get everyone's gifts made...this year, I am NOT! haha So, I am so looking forward to watching the snow fall, having a quiet cup of coffee in the mornings and knitting at a relaxing pace and watching Hallmark Christmas movies!
Number 1....I am so thankful for Jesus and my faith! I honestly wonder what people do that don't have that relationship....where do they turn everyday?
Number 2..my husband and family!
Number 3...my health
Number 4...all of you girls!!!

Debbie I am so jealous of the snow! The past few winters here we've been lucky to get any. I can't remember if it was last Christmas or the year before, we actually had weather in the 60's! It was crazy. I hope this year we have some snow!

Erin, I hope you get some snow this year! We've had more Christmases with no snow and it just seems weird. I wouldn't be able to be a snowbird and spend the winter somewhere warm. My internal clock needs the changing seasons. Winter to me is a cozy, family time when we can kind of hibernate a little and recharge from the past year and get ready for the next. A perfect time to work on knitting and sewing projects!

Absolutely Debbie! I feel the same way. I love the seasons!

I did a little Thanksgiving shopping this morning. I got our turkey, and some non-perishables needed for sides. We're participating in the gingerbread festival at the Fort Wayne History Center this year. My boys are each making a house with one of their friends. We're just using kits this year (but embellishing with much more candy and icing than what is provided). I've never made gingerbread for a house from scratch. Have any of you made them before?

I too love fall, all though here in Colorado it has snowed twice already. But, I love snow and we are looking forward to Thanksgiving. I am thankful for my hubby and son, that our niece Erin will be coming for the holidays, she lives about 2 1/2 hours from us. We have not seen her since July so it will be wonderful to have her here.
Also I am thankful for my family, friends and neighbor's. They are all the best.
Thankful too for the Wildflower Henhouse, I know I will enjoy being here and have fun.

Big Hugs,
Debbie
