Erin,
We are painting the ceiling and walls, installing new hardwood floors and new baseboards. Hoping it gets done before Thanksgiving. The guys can only work on it on days they don't have work jobs. We have slow times of the year but they still get calls to come fix something or other. So, even if they plan on it the day before if they get a call they need to do that first. Pays the bills. No pay, no new floor. LOL.
I can't wait to get the new color on the walls. I picked a color called Blanched Thyme. Really pretty green color. Not bright but more a muted color. Whenever I have cleaned walls in the past I use a clean damp mop.

Hmmm I'll have to look into that. I love having freshly painted walls. It makes everything look so new and clean.

I can't believe October is almost over. We had so many kids here last night for the trunk or treat at our youth center. It was so overwhelming! Three extra kids are still here. They slept over last night. Jason just drove them all to Ohio for doughnuts. He picked up his cousins kids yesterday, and while they were driving to our house, one of them got really excited when she saw a sign that said Ohio. She said "Are we going to Ohio?!" Jason said no but we're very close. He asked if she wanted to go to Ohio tomorrow (today) and she was so excited. She said "I've never been out of the state before!" Haha! I guess they had a fun little trip to Ohio to see the windmills. I mean, nothing against Ohio or any Midwest state but they are, in my opinion, pretty similar. I thought, I hope she's not too disappointed across the border!

I can't believe how much brighter the ceiling looks after getting painted. They were going to do the walls today but found some places they needed to fix first so did that and when all is dry and sanded then they will paint. Then hopefully the floor is not far behind. Can't wait to get everything put back in there.

We just got back from Ohio this past Sunday. Had a good time with the little girls. The family lives near Dayton.

That will be so nice for you, Denise, when it's all done!

I have two sick kids now from probably sugar overload from this weekend and being around their cousins. I swear every time they are around their cousins they get sick. It's such a bummer.

Erin, so sorry your kiddos are sick. Prayers for quick recovery!
So today we painted walls and I just love it. At first it seemed really dark and I wasn't sure but after the walls were finished and dried it looked so much better. Tomorrow coat number two and then onto the new flooring. Finally starting to feel like it might be finished before Thanksgiving.

Denise, that's awesome! My kids are better. It was a quick thing. We did miss our co-op on Monday though, and that was sad for everyone. We're playing catch up this week because of that.

It has been so great reading everyone’s entries and catching up with those I know and getting to know the ones I do not. I know I am going to enjoy being a part of the group and I am happy you keep each other up to date on your hubbys, children, pets and your everyday lives, all so interesting to me, truly.
I am not use to sharing my daily life with anyone or group but I will try.
Thank you for sharing yourselves with me and letting me be a part of such a great group of Farmgirl Sisters.

Big Hugs,
Debbie
