Yes, I am signing up for both! I have the embroidery going on my potholders so once we do the takeover, that badge will be fulfilled! I'm looking forward to seeing what kinds of recipes you girls come up with for the bakeovers.

Debbie - what pattern did you use for your potholders??? Thinking I may make potholders in March... but then again, I have that month so jam-packed with "plans" that I will probably overwhelm myself!!!

Shannon, this isn't a very good picture but I used an embroidery pattern that I got at a quilt store..I think they even have this brand at BiMart...and am just embroidering them onto muslin and then I'll make them into potholders when I'm finished.

I am doing 4 of the coffee patterns and then I'll finish them out to make potholders....I'll probably add fabric around the outside of the stitchery and then layer with some heat resistant batting, put a back on and bind the edges. I found some nice towels that work well to embroider on at Joann's last time I was there. I have 4 of those that I need to get done for my INT embroidery badge. Brian said I didn't have to do the patterns in MJ's book, I could just do a set as I'd like. I have 4 that are really cute that I'm going to do...they are fruit and vegetables. Crabapple Hill Studios has some super cute embroidery patterns...they have a website!

Ahhh that shows my stupidity/lack of knowledge! I didn't realize there was heat resistant batting! I'll have to go to Joanns at some point and get some!

I finally ordered some of the budget mix again to work on these recipes :) I cannot use the others, as we have to be gluten free, but I'm hoping to use some other recipes to make of the batter topping/bottom as well.

I'm going to try MJ's pan bread tonight with her mix and top it with pesto and mozzarella and sliced tomatoes. I"ll let you know how it turns out! I tried her chocolate chip cookie recipe the other day. it was just like a recipe I have but it just used the mix instead of flour, soda and salt. These cookies stayed really moist and didn't get stale like the other recipe that I have...so it gets a + !

Can I ask a silly question? What is a Bakeover Takeover? As soon as I post this I will probably find it :) but thought I'd ask just the same :) Thanks!

Laura, it's a fabric carrier that you can put one of Mary Jane's bakeover pans in if you were taking it for a potluck or over to someone's house. There are 2 compartments, one for the pan and another for a plate or a piece of wood for the pan to sit on. It's in the Mary Jane's Ideabook/Cookbook/Lifebook.

Thanks Debbie! I just received my copy of the Idea Book and have started reading it. I found the bakeover takeover - what fun! Now I am off to discover some bakeover recipes to try.

Would it be okay if I mail my bakeover takeover after the first week of May? I'm leaving tomorrow and won't be back until the 4th.
