Happy 4th of July SPGs!!! I am fortunate to be enjoying the view of Daytona Beach from a condo owned by friends who invited us over for a few days! It is a sea of blue with white capped waves!!

We went to our local parade. What fun! 162 entries all decked out in red, white and blue. Patriotism and God too.Small town America at its best! Our whole county was represented as well as a couple of others. Linda, they had a float from the Peach and melon festival, with three pretty young ladies in long beautiful gowns.( the queens I guess)
Winnie, watching the ocean sounds like fun. I love to watch those programs where they are looking for water front beach property. Such beauty.

Sounds like it was a great parade!
We had a parade in Ferndale and it had some nice floats and stuff and our float from Loleta was pretty bright too! I will post a picture later. It was windy but nice.

I had to hand out flyers and whistles and gave them all away. My feet didn't hurt that was good.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs and Happy 4th!

The children of some of our local dairy families, mostly Dutch, were dressed in black and white cow costumes. They passed out frozen yogurt sticks. I thought about your dairy community Darlene.

That is a cute idea, I don't know if anything like was in the parade because of walking in it. But the Danish Lodge was on a float and My pastor was with a group that plays Senior baseball games. I don't know what else though.

I did enjoy this one this year.

hugs

NBC tv station, out of Fort Worth sent a news truck. It was probably 3/4 of the way back in the parade. Then I discovered a video made as they drove the parade route. It put a different perspective on it.The people inside the truck were taking to people along the route, each h other and then his phone went off. Their impatient producer was wanting pictures. They tried twice to tel her they were still in the parade. It was rather funny. I guess parades do not say two hours in the big city.
