Well girls I had an idea ahead of time but just found out for sure, we are going to be grandparents again in September! In fact she is due September 1st. Dad is hoping she will have the baby on his birthday the 2nd. She didn't want us to tell anyone till they went to the doctor.
Even now we aren't putting anything on Facebook. There are some that don't know yet so they asked us not to put it on there.
Anyway, I am doing a Happy dance! I will go and watch the little girls when the time comes. The girls called me when they told them and they said they are getting a baby and naming it Braden. LOL! I guess if it's a girl they still want to call the baby that. LOL! They are only 3 and 5 so
I guess it makes sense to them. I asked the oldest when they were going to get the baby and she said when she goes on the school bus. I think that helps her with the time frame.

Thanks Connie! It is definitely the happiest of news and we are thrilled. There is nothing like being a Grammie/ Mimi. Each one is exciting whether it is the first or 5th or 6th or 12th. LOL!

Isn't it sweet to be called that by your grandbabies? Mine call me Gammy. I love it.

Little ones are so sweet. Baylee pointed at me (changing her diaper, at about 19months) and said "Ooo Ahma." ( both A's had the short sound.) But as she got older and heard others referring to me as granny, she changed to Gwenny. Then as she got older, she changed it again to granny. Her little sister followed suit, but now I am Gran.

Last Monday at pre school one of our little cuties took my hand and said, "I want you to come to my house on Thursday." When I asked her why, she said she wanted me to come play with her. Then she said, "I live in a green house made of long sticks. It is on a long drive through." I told her mom and we enjoyed laughing about her directions, but mom did not extend an invitation. Little ones, I know why Jesus loves them.

Oh boy, another precious new soul in the world! Congratulations, Denise! I love hearing how people picked their grandmother names. I'm a Grammy, too, because I loved my Grammy Cloud so much. My mother has been Nana to her grandkids, but when great-grandchild Lily came along it came out "Ra Ra". It was one of the first things she said. So now my mom is Ra Ra!

Happy Day!

Mimi (mee-mee) came about when the oldest grandbaby could start talking a bit. It was what she called me so we stuck with it and basically because it was so easy for them all we kept it up with my Ohio baby girls. They could say it way before they could say Grammie or Grandma. Though they did say Papa first. It was funny when Emi started talking better no matter which one of us she was talking to she would call us Papa and Mimi as if it were one name. LOL!
The oldest at one time wanted to know if I was her grandmother. I told her yes but she just always called me Mimi. I told she could call me something else if she wanted but I think it felt strange to her so she never has. I love hearing the different names kids call their grandparents.
