I know there a thread on this somewhere here but I was just wondering if anyone in our henhouse is working on badges and which ones. I am working on some sewing ones but have started on the knitting badges now.

I'd love to find the time to work on badges. I need to start from scratch even though I've knitted, crocheted, sewn, quilted, etc for years and years already. LOL!

Denise, not sure there has ever been a thread. I know I started a "gratitude" thread when I worked on that badge. Perhaps we could start a "what badge are you working on 2016". I can get that going for everyone! Cheers!

I finished by the beginner and intermediate Apple badge and will post in February when we get the clearance from the Home Office to do so. I keep thinking I need to select another to work on but keep forgetting to sit down and make a decision. This is a good reminder to do just that!!

Well here in Michigan I found several apple varieties that are not available in Texas. I'm going to get some of them and work on the Apple badge when I go home.

After I finish the badges I am working on now I will have to look into the Apple badge.
There are a few I have applied for as I have projects I have done that can be used towards the badges.

I don't have a lot of pictures so I am working on some new projects so I can add photos.

Thanks Denise for changing the title.

I need to sit down and look at my binder to see where I left off. I did buy MJF budge mix to work on a badge last year. Looked at the "Best by" date a couple of days ago and it's Feb 2016. I'm thinking that perhaps I ought to work on the badge that required me to get the budget mix!

I guess that makes my decision as to which badge I'll be working on! lol Now to check my binder to see which one it is!

Enjoy the day everyone! Cheers!

I just got the beginner and intermediate badges for knitting and the intermediate badge for cross stitch. I'm very excited, they're my first ones! I've completed the requirements for one of the garden badges, the beginner scrapbook badge and the Greatest Generations beginner badge, but haven't written them up yet. I want to work n so many I don't know I what to do next. Probably the beginner Apple Badge which I started awhile back and one about birds.

Happy Day!

That is something I want to get organized and in my planner Shannon. I never really thought I wanted to do them but once I realized how much I have already accomplished that I can use for the badges I thought it would be fun to get them.

I think working on badges is such a great use of time. Not only does it encourage you to try new things, but it also helps you carve out time for yourself to pursue your interests. And, I think it's a great way to escape your cares sometimes. I just love it!

Hopefully, finishing this baby sweater for Ed's sister's friend will count towards my knitting badge.

Amy, You are right. When I am knitting or working on a badge it does give me time away to do some little thing for myself.

Linda, I'm sure it will count towards your badge.

Did everyone see the new UFO Merit Badge in the February Sisterhood Issue? We should ALL be able to get that one! I, for one, am making my list of UFOs so I can get started.

Linda,

Thanks for the heads up on the UFO badge. I haven't even had a minute to crack open my issue of MJF! Can someone stop time, just for a bit until I catch up? I have kept a list of my quilting UFO since 2007. I had joined stash buster and committed to finishing 5 UFO that year. I should be easy for me to come up with the list! lol Actually, I was looking at it the other and it's really not as bad as I thought!

As for the badge using the Budget mix - Farm Kitchen #5 Organic on a Budget

I should also do the - Farm Kitchen #3. ChillOver ComeOver (I did order it)

Catch you later! Cheers!

I keep all my certificates in my SPG Notebook. I love the certificates!I need to get busy on another one! You all have inspired me! to get busy again!
