Darlene, I received your package, thank you so much! The recipe looks yummy, and thank you for including the onion soup mix to get me started! I love getting tips about good stuff at the dollar store, it can be such a bit or miss proposition. Now I know what to look for. And thank you so very much for including the card with "Footprints" on it. It's one of my favorite spiritual pieces, but somehow I never had a copy. I've always wanted to create a version set to music, and your card will be the inspiration to finally do it. I love swapping with you! Hugs!

Sherry -

I received your Potato Soup recipe in the mail I picked up this morning from the past 2 weeks. It sounds so yummy. I can't wait to try it. I will send my soup recipe to you in a day or two - still doing the washing and putting away from our Michigan trip.

Your soup recipe went out yesterday. You should get it soon, since we only live a little over 50 miles apart.

Recipe for Daycare Taco Soup.

I named it this because my nursery staff would make this on a cold winter day and invite me to enjoy a bow.

2 cans of chicken breast with broth
2 cans Ranch Style or Chili Beans
1 can original Rotel tomatoes with green Chile's (if you can not find this use petite diced tomatoes and a small can of diced green Chile's)
2 tablespoons of dried onion flakes
1 package Taco Seasoning
1 package dry Ranch dressing mix
1 can diced tomatoes
Rinse all cans and add to soup. You need at least 3 cups of water, maybe more

See how easy. No chopping just using a can opener.
The nursery gals used a crock pot on high for 3-4 hours. At home I use stove top, and a big pot, or crock pot if I need to be out doors working or running errands.

Now toppings. You may add SOUR CREAM, GREEN ONION BITS, FRITOS OR TORTILLA CHIPS, GRATED CHEDDAR, AVOCADO DICES,etc. Yum yum!

FINALLY, got around to mailing my recipe cards.

I bought printable recipe cards from Avery and use their program to create the card. It makes my life so much easier. I had a couple extra so, don't be surprised if you get a recipe card from me! Catch you later!

If you need a super fast, very tasty soup, think of this one. I was teaching when this recipe appeared.
As far as I know it has no name....but it is so yum.

Brown a pound of ground beef and one chopped onion. Drain the fat.
Add three cans of Ranch Style beans, rinse cans and add water to soup.
Add three cans of Minestrone soup and three soup cans of water
Add one can Rotel original tomatoes and green Chile's
Add one teaspoon garlic powder and black pepper and salt to taste.
Heat soup and serve. This is great in a lunch box.

Here is an idea...when our second grade teacher had a baby the teachers wanted to send her food for a week. Knowing she used her crock pot frequently, I sent the cans of chicken and veggies to make the taco soup that was my recipe in the swap. The Minestrone can also be given as a gift. One year I gave our custodians the recipe, the cans of Beans, Rotel and Minestrone, one onion and a $5 Bill to purchase the meat as a Christmas gift.
