Our swap for November will be a recipe that uses up Thanksgiving leftovers. It can be for one type of leftover, such as mashed potatoes, or several. I know some people have casseroles for using a whole bunch of leftovers at once. Even your specialty leftover turkey sandwich would be fun!
Sign up by October 31
Mail out by November 15
Since we've had a couple new ladies join in ( yeah!) I'm just going to go over the swap. It's changed from the initial idea, for the better, I think. Less rules (I've never done well with too many rules!).
So, it's anything goes, pretty much. You pick the size and format of the recipe card that suits you. It can be handwritten or not, embellished or not, whatever you like. The variety has made it even more fun. The "spice of life" as they say . . .
I'm thinking we won't have a swap in December. I'd planned on it originally, but it's such a busy time for everyone, . I thought taking a break might be a good idea. Is that ok with everyone?
Last thing . .. for those of you who like to plan ahead, here are the topics for the first few swaps of next year:
January is "Soup Month." Share your favorite soup recipe.
February, in honor of Valentine's Day, share your favorite recipe for something chocolate :D
March, celebrate the Irish with a potatoes recipe.

| Yummy yummy! Thanksgiving is one of my two favorite holidays (the other being 4th of July!). I love having recipes to carry on the turkey day feeling. Can't wait to try Marlee's sandwich and Connie's salad! And Connie, thanks ever so much for the "table talk" cards. My family will love them (but I'm keeping the chocolate for me!) |
