Good evening, fellow wildflowers!

My name is Abi and I'm so excited to join the Wildflower chapter. I'm originally from Michigan. My husband was in the Army and, after he got out, we moved to Texas. Been here about a year now. We bought a 100 year old farmhouse on 2.5 acres on the Texas coast.

No kids, but we have 5 dogs, 7 chickens, 3 cats and my mom living with us. When I'm not working my 9 to 5 as a safety coordinator, I like to knit, crochet and spin yarn. So if any sisters need any help with those badges, please let me know.

Knit On,
Abi

Hi Abi!! Welcome!! Yes - I would like help with knitting, crocheting and spinning :) lol! I have a spinning wheel bequeathed to me, and I don't know how to use it. I would also love love love to learn how to knit and crochet, but don't know how. I've tried to teach myself, but it didn't work out.

Hi Abi :) So glad you did indeed decide to join us :) I have a feeling there are a few of us that could use and would love your help!!! I too am trying to teach myself. I do "okay" with crochet, and can finger and arm knit, but that is it!

Welcome, Abi! I'm so happy that you're here with us. I can do some basic crochet and knitting, but nothing fancy. I would love to learn how to use a spinning wheel too, but I don't have one. Spinning wheels are so whimsical. Do you spin on a wheel or drop spindle?

I grew up around Ann Arbor, but I love the Paradise, MI area. My husband and I were planning a beach wedding up there, but had to change our date to January. UP outdoor wedding in Jan. wasn't going to work.

Right now, I bartend at the VFW three nights a week. When we get our extra bartender and things settle a bit, I'll start doing online knit, crochet and spin lessons.

Abi, online lessons sound wonderful! I'll be waiting!
My grand daughter lives in Marine City, MI. We are considering a temp move to St. Clair. She loves Ann Arbor! We visited her last Summer. Beautiful St. Clair River! We also visited Paradise then! Had to go to White Fish Bay of course. I say temp move to St. Clair because if DGD should move again, we will just move on up to the UP. Omgosh, I can't imagine a Jan beach wedding in Paradise. That's what it would take...imagination and lots of warm boots.
