Hi girls :) I've participated in the last two pocket letter swaps over on the main forum, and I was so completely excited about doing them. I think it would be SO neat for us to do a pocket letter swap with eachother...to get to know each other better. I was thinking that we could do a pocket letter once a month or so - and I'd make sure that each month we would rotate partners so that way we can start collecting from everyone. Depending on how many people sign up, that's how many months we'll go. If you're game...sign up here and I'll say that the first pocket letter to go out in the mail is September 1st, and I'll post partners around the 15th of August so you can personalize your letter before sending it. Hope you all want to join in on the fun of getting to know our Wildflower Girls better!!
PS - if you don't know what a pocket letter is...go to the Farmgirl Swap forum and you'll see two topics on them - the first one will bring you to a link to show you how to make it. If you have trouble finding it, let me know and I'll post it here :)
So, to review:
Partners Posted: August 15th
Mail out: September 1st (for the first one)
Commitment: However many girls there are - that's how many months we'll do it...ie if 5 girls sign up, we go for 5 months, September 1st, October 1st, November 1st, December 1st and January 1st.

| This looks like a really fun idea. I've never done one, but am willing to try! Let me try to explain what I think it is... get a plastic sheet that fits nine cards. Make ATC for each slot. Add tuck-ins. Write a letter. Did I get it right? |

Yeah that's pretty much what it is, Shannon. I'm definitely in! I'm very excited for this. They're really fun to make, and fun to receive!

| If there are only three of us this month, I may back out and then send you both one next month, with Emi being so close to being due! I have had some really hard contractions (which is normal for me!), so I am hoping within the next week or two she will be here! |

| ack! That's SO soon Shannon!!! Your baby quilt is almost done...I just need to put the backing and binding on. I better get on that this week so I can put it in the mail for you by early next week!! Can you email me your current address so I don't accidentally send it to the wrong one? And yes - that's totally fine to do that Shannon - I was actually thinking that we'll just all make one for eachother :) |

| Joyce - one to each other will be lovely :) Just give me time to get it done ;) my due date according to my last cycle is August 23rd. According her size is September 2nd. I saw the OB yesterday, who did an ultrasound... By positioning, she is guessing within the next two weeks. Part of me hopes it will be soon, because some of these contractions are intense. But I also know I often have contractions two weeks prior to delivery. As for finishing the quilt.... Sweet Joyce! I so appreciate you doing this for Emi! And if for some reason you cannot finish it before her delivery, or even not at all, I completely understand! The thought is so incredibly sweet! I will pm you my address.... I do not recall if I sent it out to everyone before or not.... |

Oh this would be lovely Jami!!! we'll have four to swap, so how about these deadlines to mail:
September 30th (to give Shannon time): Shannon & Erin; Joyce & Jami
October 31st: Erin & Jami; Joyce & Shannon
November 30th: Joyce & Erin; Jami & Shannon
For September we can do fall themed, October Thanksgiving theme and November Christmas themed - does that sound OK with you all Shannon, Erin & Jami?

Omgosh, girls! I have been out of state since last Thursday and totally missed this pocket letter discussion. (Away from the net). Anyway, I would have joined you!These look like so much fun! If you are still doing them the first of the year I would like to join you all. Until then we will be remodeling home and traveling quite a bit for the rest of the summer and Fall. Boo hoo, to missing out! But, Yay to travel!
