Hi ladies! I realize we are not a very big henhouse... yet... but wanted to see if there was any interest in making a swapping Christmas ornaments next year - one each month. Last year I participated in the swap on the main forum and loved it. This past year I participated in the beginning, but quickly found that finding/buying vintage spools was not my forte. Similarly, I will not be participating this upcoming year because I do not have a bunch of vintage cookie cutters. Anyways, my thought process was to swap ornaments within a theme each month, but you, the creator, gets to pick how/of what it is made. For example, in January if our theme is star, you could do a star themed ornament out of anything you want - paper crafting, quilling, origami, cross stitch, plastic canvas, felt, wood, whatever your heart desires. You would then trade it with one other person. As far s badges are concerned, this could go towards the homespun Christmas... anyone interested? |

I would be interested in doing this. I considered joining the other one also, but same as you Shannon, I didn't have any wooden spools. This sounds like a good alternative! |

Since there seems to be an interest, I will start a different post for each month, once we get an idea of what theme we want. Sign ups will be by the 1st of the month, partners posted on the 2nd, and Mail outs will be the 15th of each month. I am going to try to stay away from the "controversial" themes... for example we do not do Santa, while others may not celebrate Jesus. Here is what I was thinking so far...
January: snowman February: heart March: Angel April: Bell May:Stocking June: Farmlife July:Sweets August: Wildlife September: star October: gingerbread (can be person, house, etc) November: tree December: Sender's choice
What do you guys think??? |
