I'm curious about the types of fiction we all like to read. On the favorite author section of our information sheets, there's everthing from the classics, to Amish stories, to sci fi, and everything in between. I love exploring new genres and discovering new authors, do you?

If we can get a thread going about the fiction were reading, we might eventually be able to come up with a selection to read together.

So, if you're reading a fiction book at present, what is it? What do you think of it?

I'll start. I'm reading "The Book of Lights" by Chaim Potok. I've always wanted to read one of his books, and so far it's very good, but just a little sad. I think I'll enjoy it though.

Happy Day!

I like the light mysteries like Carolyn Hart or Hardy Boys.
I love them even now days.

No surprises, but lots to follow.

I read so many different genre. Right now I am reading a couple different books. The Matchmakers of Butternut Creek (the second in a series of 3) & Seaside Harmony. I love mysteries and sci-fi too. I have loved reading since I was young and always have a book nearby.

Darlene, I'm familiar with the Hardy Boys, but haven't heard of Carolyn Hart. I looked her up and I definitely would like to try one of her books.

Denise, I looked up the two books your reading, and I'd like to read them both as well. Seaside Harmony takes place in Nantucket, right near Martha's Vineyard where I'm going in a couple weeks.

I think we can assemble a fantastic fiction reading list. I'm excited-- so many books, so little time!

Happy Day!

I think cozy mysteries would definitely be of interest to many of us. I've only read a few and enjoyed them all. Denise, I got Seasde Harmony to read on my vacation! I wonder what other fiction genres might appeal to the majority of us?

I am really enjoying Seaside Harmony Amy! So glad you found a copy. I also bought the next two in that series. I hate not having the next book available when I am reading a series. LOL!

Me too! Has anyone read anything by Jan Karon? I love her Mitford books, and thought maybe the Christmas one would be a good choice for our book club during the holiday season.
