They gave her steroid which has her breathing but they are giving her a session with albuterol for the wheezing. She is normally on albuterol in the inhaler but of course it didn't show up until this.

Thank you she is at home and doing some meds as well as the inhaler. I was going over for some snuggle with Mimi time but didn't get back in time to go before she was asleep. Will head over to see her tomorrow.

I’m glad that Violet is home. So much easier to rest there than in the ER, especially with Mimi time!

Glad to hear Violet is home and improving..I remember one late Fall my girls both had croup and it was scary! Fortunately the steroids and breathing treatments got it under control and they were not hospitalized. My youngest was just a baby and I remember rocking her with the face in the path of the mist io the humidifier after giving her medications and until she was able to fall asleep. That rocking chair got a work out for a few days!!

I don't know how often they have to give her the treatments with the nebulizer at home. Probably before she goes to bed. I haven't heard of anyone having croup in years.

Continued prayers for Violet!

Pray for my cousin James, he is 65, he fell from the attic above his garage and hit his head, he has been airlifted to Vanderbilt in Nashville, he lives about 40 miles from there. I just talked to him yesterday.

Thankful that Violet is doing well and James will be ok. He is fortunate to survive a fall like that.

So glad he is doing ok! Years ago a friend of mine's father-in-law fell through his attic but sustained bad injuries he is still not walking. I am so glad James is going to be ok.
I am very happy that Violet is doing ok too!
Love you all!

Thank you all so much for your prayers! He has stitches in his head. He does not remember falling or going to the hospital.
It's possible he may have fainted that's how he fell.
So thankful he wasn't injured any worse.

Connie,
So glad James is going to be alright. Continued prayers as he heals.

Violet is finished her medication and has her inhaler at school as well as home. She is back to her chipper, cheerful little self. She's such a sweet little thing. Im a bit biased though.

I obviously am waaaaaaaaaay out of touch with everyone, but I will be praying for Violet and James! Croup is no fun and from what you wrote Denise, it sounds like she may also have asthma? Golly that had to have been hard on her lungs! And Connie - wow! I didn't read far enough back to see how your cousin fell or where he fell from (someone mentioned an attic!?!?) but he obviously had at least a minor concussion with not remembering things! Praising God for His goodness!
