Today we went to see Dawson. His dad said we were the first to get him to smile. Here are some pix.

Asking prayer for Annie and Emily and their dad, Jon. The girls have strep and Jon is home sick. Not sure it is the same thing though.

Hugs and prayers for your son-in-law and granddaughters. Are your grandson and daughter with you for a while, then? To stay away from the sick ones?

No, Peter and Violet are fine and so is Leslie. She is taking care of everyone.

Thank for prayer I know we all appreciate it. The older 2 are on antibiotics and can go back to school tomorrow as per the Dr.

Oh my Strep throat sure makes one miserable! I hope everyone is responding to the medicine and on their way to being well. When my girls were young, they would bring strep home from school and it would usually make it's way thorough the family.

I have two requests today. One is for my extended family. My cousin passed away. He had been in the hospital about a week and a half ago. He had a heart attack while shoveling snow. He was doing great and went home. He was doing fine and now he's gone. He has 6 siblings, a daughter, granddaughter and a great grandson and great granddaughter. His mom, my aunt, passed last year so this is especially hard for all of them. He was a year older than my brother who was born on the same day. They loved sharing a birthday together. My brother was very upset when heard.

My second request is that I would get over having this dry, scratchy throat.

Denise, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your cousin. Prayers to you and his family. Hopefully, your throat will heal once all this spring pollen is done. It was quite heavy down here this year and started early and still hanging on, but lessening finally. Pollen is so irritating to our sensitive mucous membranes in our nose, throat and lungs!

Denise I'm very sorry you lost your cousin.
For your scratchy throat, my grandmother always said gargle with saltwater. I have a hard time with that so I just swish it around and make sure it hits the back of my throat without swallowing. I hope it gets better soon.

Thank you all. The scratchy allergy throat is better. I've been taking elderberry syrup and putting honey and lemon in hot drinks.

My family is being hit on both sides with MAJOR issues and we need ALL the prayers y’all can give ! My Mama’s sister, my 2nd mom, has been diagnosed with a very rare, fast growing, aggressive cancer and doing very badly now. On the other side, the other grandmother to our grandbabies had open heart surgery last week. 3 days ago, she went into cardiac arrest, after 2 rounds of CPR, they revived her and put in a new heart pump. She’s still in ICU. Pleeeeez keep all in prayers. I fully believe praying works, especially in numbers ! I’m not giving these details on Facebook as for their privacy, but have put prayer requests there too !!!
HUGS & thanks so much
